I think my team is top 10. Good balance of offense and defense.

I think if fadeaway were to trade DeRozan and Smith for a really good SG (say, Ginobili), he'd be in my top 3.

 

Out of curiosity, what weakness(es) do you see in my team?

your weakness is that stephen curry is going to hve to carry a HUGE offensive load. jason richardson played terrible in orlando...you have really weak wing players outside of curry. garnett/wilcox/nene will be a good rebounding and defensive team, but offensivley they really won't give you much...actually offensively outside of curry you have really no one who can be a go to guy.

when its crunch time who are you going to go to? curry? i'm not sure if hes ready for that role yet...your basic problem is, stephen curry is the best player on your team and has a huge offensive load to carry in terms of scoring and creating, that won't get it done.

 

Best 3 - mine, dharocks, and its a tossup between jmcballer/rednation/ubigman. depends on how well they finish drafting.

Worst 3 - BleedRocketsRed, Arjun, and maybe showtizzle. you've actually improved your team a lot. that evans/rondo backcourt was horrible.

 

I guess that's what I didn't understand. Evans gets you points, rebounds and assists. Rondo is by far one of the best defensive PGs out there, gets you assists, steals and great defense. Wouldn't that be exactly what a team wants?

 

Cutting off dribble penetration's the big one. All of your perimeter players are sub-par defensively, and I think there's a limit to how much your two bigs can make up for that fact. Offensively, your best set-up guy is on your bench, and I don't know if Garnett is still a guy who draws double teams.

That said, you should have a very good open court team that can put up lots of points. But even with Garnett and Nene, I'm not sure how high your team's ceiling is defensively.

What's your thinking in terms of half-court offense? Garnett-centric?

 

outside of curry, i have garnett, nene, and jameer nelson who can all create their own shots.

when garnett is on the floor, he'll either post up or run a pick and roll with curry. think about how effective a curry/garnett pick and roll would be.

i dont need jason richardson to create his own shot. i need him to run on fast breaks, hit the open 3, and slash to the basket/move without the ball. he does all of those things very well.

my bench offense will be similar to my starting offense. feed the ball to nene or run a pick and roll with jameer nelson and nene, and the rest of the offense will react to that. don't forget that nelson is a great pick and roll pg.

crunch time lineup will most likely be curry/richardson/maggette/garnett/nene.
