Nice pick. I was wondering how long Ben Gordon and his 40% 3pt shooting would last.

I tend to agree with your floor-spacing argument with regards to the importance of 3pt shooting, especially with the Nash/Howard combo being the backbone of my team's offense.

    2010-11 3pt %s:
    Nash: 39.5
    Hinrich: 39.9
    Salmons: 37.9
    Gordon: 40.2
    Smith: 39.0

How many minutes do you plan on playing Nash per game? During the season, he averaged 33.3 mpg.

I like your team a lot though. The main obstacle I see is that you need a backup center and there are 12 people that draft before you who also need a backup C/PF. And there's nowhere near 12 serviceable big men left.

Dwight can play 40 minutes a game as these matchups are like the playoffs.

Only problem is potential foul trouble

In that case, I'd start Garnett, bench Nene, and rotate them in and out. There's no way Dwight can play an effective 40 minutes against rested Garnett/Nene, both of whom can challenge him offensively and defensively.

    I'm thinking:

    PG: Nash 32 / Hinrich 10 / Gordon 6
    SG: Hinrich 20 / Gordon 20 / Smith 8
    SF: Salmons 32 / Smith 16
    PF: Gibson 28 / Backup PF 20
    C: Howard 38 / Gibson 5 / Backup PF 5

Or thereabouts. A bunch of teams still need backup PGs/wings too, so I think I should be able to get one of my targets

Garnett can't handle Dwight defensively any more. He can't really play physical centers like Dwight.

But yeah, against big tough front courts even Dwight can be slowed down.

Like the Lakers in 09 finals

Here's my thinking: How many big, physical centers can effectively switch on Nash in high P&R sets?

    PG Rondo
    SG Allen / Johnson
    SF Johnson / Gallanari
    PF Bargnani / Humphries
    C Okafor / Bargnani

I think he can. Defensively last season, Garnett played close to his 07-08 level (DPOY season). In 07-08, his defensive rating was 94. Last season, it was 95.

Good matchups... Unless Okafor gets in foul trouble, in which case you might see a bit of
