Did the RHCP all go super-health vegan? Damn.

 

Whole thing was kinda creepy... or maybe flaky is the word I'm looking for. Perhaps it was the way it was writ ten. I really was hoping 'Will Ferrel' was gonna bust out with some cowbell or tambourine or something.

 

Has anyone checked it out? Is it any good? The loss of Frusciante has to be evident one would think.

 

I would say it is their worst but that does not mean it is not good.

I agree with Airbud, although I didn't follow them pre-BSSM.

The guitar style is considerably different. He's not trying to imitate the old sound.

 

A couple songs in and its not too bad.

 

Listened to most of it. It isn't bad. The melodies aren't very guitar oriented as they were in the past. The basslines seem to be solid, but not very melodic either. I'm not sure what this record is about other than that they probably owed WB another release. I can't say that I don't like it, but I can't say that I do like it either.
