    Felt it in Toronto. My office is on the 10th floor, and felt that the building was shaking.

    Working in a high-rise corporate building in northern Virginia (supposedly close to the epicenter). Gave us a pretty good scare. We never get quakes here. I think its reported as the largest in VA for quite some time.

    That was the weirdest feeling. I moved from Houston two years ago and now live in Annapolis MD. I manage a little HVAC wholesale store here and everything on the shelves was shaking and tools on the peg hooks were swinging back and forth. lasted about 30 seconds.

    Now we have Irene to worry about :)

    One article I read just now mentioned that they felt it on the floor of the NYSE. Everybody screamed "KEEP TRADING" and they did.

    Here's a map showing the epicenter (thanks for the link, Sam! poor basso). This is a bit bizarre, isn't it? We aren't supposed to have earthquakes in that area, not that I've ever heard of, at any rate.
