I couldn't disagree more. This isn't at all like the tax holiday for the wealthy fawned upon the country by the GOP and their blackmail. This is a direct benefit to the middle class that will put money in their pockets when the country desperately needs them to have money in their pockets so that they might, just might, spend some. Trying to hoist this up as "just like the Bush Tax Cut extension" and make it "apples and apples" is, with all due repsect, crazy. It's more like apples and prunes.
It doesn't seem like you disagree. This post seems to only be an elaboration of the one difference that I did point out in my parenthetical statement -- this works a bit better than the tax break for the rich because middle class people will actually spend it all, probably on HP Touchpads.
