Thought I'd jump start this thread again with fantasy football leagues gearing up for the season. In my main league, I've got the 3rd overall pick and I am seriously considering taking Vick with my first pick in that spot. Not being a homer either, just looking at the logistics of the whole situation. I've also thought about Rice in that spot..... 4 games against Cleveland/Cincinnati, 4 games against the NFC West, 4 games against the AFC South. Jets, Chargers, and 2 Steeler games will be tough but with 12 games where he could absolutely go off it may be worth it, not to mention this is a contract year for him What do you think?
Top three, you gotta take one of the big three RBs. After that, for me its rice. The fact that he will be goal line back too, means I believe there is very little drop off between the first three and him. I think JC is getting too much hype again. As long as TJ is still there to take half his carries, he will be limited.
As much as I hate to say it, you have to go with Romo. The Jets defense is fierce, but the Cowboys will still be throwing the ball. Likely cause they'll be behind The Bills secondary is good, and I think the Chiefs are highly overrated. Jamaal Charles, though, is gonna rip em a new butt'ole.
I'm worried RW might steal more carries than I'd like from Rice... especially in goal line situations similar to what Mcgahee did a couple years ago. Can't disagree with JC. He's a stud but the Chiefs have a lot of weapons and he can't get all the looks. Especially with a healthy Dexter.
PPR-wise, I'd throw McCoy in there too. No clue which of those 3 will come out with more fantasy points.
Okay guys need some help. Keeper league. I can only keep 2 players and the only ones worth keeping on my team is Vick Brady Fitzgerald I originally thought I should keep vick and brady just to not give them to anyone and maybe trade later but then wonder if i should keep a qb and fitz, but then I don't know which one to keep. Figure Brady might put some serious numbers since they pass all the time....
Non ppr IDP Should I trade Vick/Harvin/Geno Hayes for Schaub/Megatron/Urlacher? I'm truly torn on this. I have Vick right now
Not unless I was desperate for a WR upgrade and had another viable RB2 option. I'm not sold on Thomas being more than a TD poacher ala Mike Tolbert. I'd probably do that trade actually.
While I do think Shonn Greene will have a good year, I think I would do this trade. The edge Lloyd has over Crabtree is bigger than the edge Greene has over Thomas in my opinion. I don't buy that Bush will be the featured back in Miami, and Thomas should see the majority of the touches. Yes, I would do this trade.
i absolutely do as well. 14 team league, 5 pt qb passing td, do you take rodgers or mccoy at 6, assuming charles/rice are gone? i know for a fact vick will be gone and i really really don't want to take johnson.
Preciate ya'll. Oh and I did forget to mention it's a PPR league. I have Best, Bradshaw, Turner, and Tolbert besides Greene so I would have plenty of depth still at RB. The only reason I'm considering this is because I have Fitz and Collie as my starting reciever options. Collie is a little iffy to lean on plus who knows if Peyton will start the season. Thanks for the input fellas.
In that case, I'd probably lean toward acquiring Lloyd. Even if the offense is different this year, thats still not a running team and they'll need to air it out frequently due to a poor defense.
Maybe I am over-analyzing my week 1 matchup, but I have Chris Johnson, Blount, and Addai. I am going to start Johnson (assuming the holdout is done), but IF Manning doesn't play, will Addai be a better start instead of Blount? I feel that the Texans run defense has not been too good so far and Addai might get quite a few carries if Collins gets the start. Thoughts?
