I think it's more that Kubiak is starting to take advantage of such a potent run game that's feeding his boot and playaction heavy passing game like it's thanksgiving. With the line (plus TE and FB) blocking like they did last night, we could be a very very very scary team for anyone to face.
Ugghhh!! I originally had set the DVR to record the NFLN last night, but when I saw that it was blacked out I switched to record 13, but since I was worried about not having enough room, I stopped the recording of NFLN, but apparently it stopped my recording on 13 as well!!! I was trying to rewatch the game today but only got 11 minutes of it!! Is there any way to watch a replay of the game online??
I was watching it on NFLN too, I was pissed off. Living in Lubbock our ABC was showing some random crap, but they still blacked out the game here on the NFLN. They are showing a replay Thursday at 6 am, if you want to wait that long.
I can't believe how bad the quality of the ABC 13 (KTRK) "HD" broadcast of the game was. Watching some of the other team's preseason games (on NFLN), you can see the quality of the broadcast mirrors (and mostly equals) most national game broadcasts. The crap that KTRK showed was appalling. Totally looked like old Rockets broadcasts on UPN 20. Just unacceptable for a "first-rate" franchise that the Texans are noted to be (in every area except, of course, season results on the field of play). Anybody have any links on where we can voice our displeasure? Long-suffering Texan fans deserve better.
it was atrocious. flat out terrible. that couldn't have been a real hd feed, right? i've seen high school football games in better quality.
I turned on the game and at first thought something was wrong with my tv. It looked like they were playing the game In Afganistan with that crappy picture.
I honestly don't know how they conciously put that out there. EVERY SINGLE GAME I've seen on NFLN (all local team broadcasts) look a million times more proffesional and updated. I take back my earlier comment about how it looked like a UPN 20 Rockets game. It looked WORSE.
It's not like this is anything new from ABC 13. Their picture quality has always been awful for football games - honestly think they don't have all the necessary equipment.
http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/feature?section=resources/inside_station/station_info&id=5763621 I just sent them one Maybe they will listen if enough people email them.
Then the Texans should demand they upgrade, or they go to another network. It was embarrasing. Like someone above said, it was worse than HS football quality. And this is for one of the most valuable franchises in all of sports.
Yeah, totally shocking, haha...Im surrounded by terrorists there. Regarding the HD feed...I really had a headache from it. The grass gave me blurry vision.
Defense looked great in terms of pressuring the quarterback, secondary still has gaps but hopefully JJ and Manning can help. Special teams is god awful..... GOD AWFUL!
I can't believe how weak our special teams are. I just saw a state on the Cowboys game that almost 40% of kickoffs this preseason have been touchbacks around the league vs something like 16% or so last year. The Texans are getting the ball into the endzone but everybody brings it out against them and still get to the 30. It's amazing.
Special teams is terrible. With the returner getting the ball five to eight yards back deep in the endzone, teams have still been getting to the 25 yard line. Hopefully in the regular season, teams don't run it back as much, but maybe word on the street is the Texans are terrible at covering kickoffs/punts.
Yup, and we catch it on our goaline and can't get past the 15. Frustrating. I read early last week that Manning was going to have the kickoff return duties. Any reason why he hasn't taken any kicks yet?
Probably cause they don't want to risk him getting injured in the special teams game in a meaningless pre season game. He's a veteran and should be able to get into KR duties just fine without him getting his head knocked off by players that are trying to make the teams.
