so what was going on with the broadcast last night. any shakeups at fox. they need to shake up the whole production
Man seriously how the hell does joe buck still have a job and gus johnson gets the boot? buck makes watching any spot terrible especially one that is enjoyed by many in football. it was so painful to listen to last night I wonder if he would have gotten as far as he did if it wasnt for his father -- seriously the guy was kind of given the job so frustrating
i didn't hear him last night but yes, he does suck. He adds very little and i think kills any excitement that happens. I'm continually amazed that he gets handed all the major gigs. Is his voice still messed up? I heard he was getting over some weird throat issue.
Me and the wife said the same thing last nite, Buck responded to something Troy said and Terry just bucked in and answered and kept talking.
Nate Burelson just scored a touchdown in Cleveland for his celebration he pretended to dump powder in his hands and toss it in the air like Lebron.
I don't know if Dunta Robinson is hurt or just isn't one of the falcons top 2 corners but find it interesting he isn't in their starting line up.
Redskins looking impressive.... I know I know its preseason. But after all, most of the colts starters were in. At halftime it was a complete shutout. 16-0. 16 first downs for WAS 0 for Indy. 130 rushing yards for WAS, 1 for Indy We made mince meat out of Steelers too last week.
I think I might be forced to watching any future fox games on mute. Seriously, they need to implode to whole presentation and do a rebuild. It's the most atrocious thing in sports. From the r****do dancing futuristic robot, to the horrible announcing, to the team spending whole drives slobknobbing over each other, to the distatsteful setup of computers Siragusa has on the sidelines, to Siragusa chiming in to try and add something to what the announcers are saying constantly, the whole thing is GARBAGE.
ouch! <iframe width="560" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/1A3-LfFzHxM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Rahim led with the shoulder but the WR was defenseless.
Led with shoulder, but still quite a bit of helmet to helmet in that as well. If they are going to enforce their new defenseless player rule, it should be a fine.
If your record is going ot be 0-16, this seems like the perfect year to do it. So, hopefully the Bengals manage to win a few games.
It's a really wonky concept. I think what they're trying to say is that you can't (purposefully) hit a guy while he's trying to catch the ball. When you're focusing on 1) the ball or 2) landing, you're unable to "protect" yourself, especially in the case of #1. Now, if you're trying to hit the ball and you bang into the player, that's different. It's the same thing with PI calls, you have to "make a play on the ball, not on the player". I think the rule could be useful, but it needs some clarification and tweaking. All too often you see guys who play coverage not by trying to deflect or intercept the ball or disrupt the route, but instead they play coverage by just trying to hit someone in the act of catching to disrupt the play. They're trying to stop that kind of behavior.
