Questions for a german documentary about Patrick Swayze

    Hi guys,

    we are currently working on a documentary about Patrick Swayze for german TV - and since he is born and raised in Houston I´v thought - as a fan of the Rockets and the Texans I´m already active on their forums, why not ask here for advice.

    We are currently looking for the adresses of his mother`s dancing studio (Houston Jazz and Ballet Company) as well as the theater they often trained in (Houston Music Theater). We would also like to find people that maybe were friends with him, went to school with him or danced with him - perhaps some of you guys know someone that might be willing to help us with our documentary.

    When he was a child, he went to the private Catholic school where my wife works and where my kids go. Send me an email (droxford-t at att dot net) and I will tell you the name of the school.

    if i were doing a documentary on swayze, i would talk about how many rappers used the line, "i'm ghost like patrick swayze"

    i recently read an interview with his mother on a British daily. I hadn't realised he married his teenage sweetheart (met at mom's studio).

    I thought he was going to be the James Dean of my generation, would've drank Schmitts with him.

    Thank you very much, but we already know about his schools - we are just looking for the dancing schools right now. Or did your wife actually work there, when he was attending the school?

    No. She works at the school now. He went to the school decades ago.

    Yeah, I thought so. Thanks anyways. He should`ve went there about 50-55 years ago. They don`t have any special Patrick Swayze memorabilia there, do they (I don`t know, perhaps some pictures at the wall or something)?

    He co-owned a ranch in New Mexico with a prominent businessman who lives here in Houston. He may have also owned one in Montana or wherever 'Red Dawn' was shot. I think was also into Arabian horses. (not literally...that I know of) Oh yeah....he danced.

    His family would be the best source. I've known several people who were somewhat close to him but anything I've heard or know is 2nd or 3rd hand.

    Sounds promising - do you think any of the people you knew that were close to him would be willing to work with us (show us some of the places Patrick were spending time when he was young) in front of the camera?

    i went to high school w/ this kid whose mom was cousins w/ swayze-dog - he had a ranch w/ horses and a dance studio that they would go out to for family reunions.

    The first woman mentioned studied with Patsy Swayze. I suspect she would know the addresses of the places you are looking for.

    My grandparents live on the same street that he grew up in as a teenager.

    As for the lack of information, no need to be disappointed. Don't get upset.

    I heard he grow up in Tomball. My sister in law lived there and apparently the Swayzes lived close to them. That's all I know.
