http://themovieblog.com/2011/08/the-expendables-2-cast-rumours With director Simon West preparing to shoot The Expendables 2 soon aiming at an August 17, 2012 release, it’s high-time we heard something about his cast. We expect that surviving members of the original – Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews, Jet Li and possibly Bruce Wills – could all return. But, according to an interview with the CEO of the “biggest film studio” in the country, the film will shoot in Bulgaria, and joining the cast are John Travolta, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Heck yeah. Highly enjoyable. Good fun. To the post about the cast, if that cast holds up that will be awesome!
Time for Team Schwarzenegger to kick some asses. I am all for Expendables 2 to focus on Team Schwarzenegger. Then we have a Team Stallone vs Team Schwarzenegger in Expendables 3. Man, that would be fun to watch. Tony Jaa in Arnold's team, please.
Expendables had two good action scenes in an otherwise average 80s style action movie. Personally I thought Red was better. But if those new cast additions are true then it could be promising.
I remember reading somewhere they are suing all the people that torrented this movie? What happened afterwards?
Chuck Norris And Jean Claude Van Damme Confirmed By Stallone Himself To Be In EXPENDABLES 2! The first EXPENDABLES movie doesn't seem to have anything on the new one. It's already going to have Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis in extended roles, and the return of Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, among others. But now, the badass quotient just went up a few notches. Stallone confirmed to Entertainment Weekly what has been rumored for weeks - Jean Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris are joining the cast, and Stallone even fights Van Damme in the film: "We’ll have a big showdown between me and Van Damme, which has been anticipated for a long time, so it should be a good one," he said in the interview. He also hints that Nicolas Cage and John Travolta might be joining the cast as well. For some this may be too much, but I strongly disagree - this is the kind of movie that only works when it's not only over the top (yeah, I went there) but practically in the stratosphere. He's even talking about getting Michael Biehn and Michael Pare involved. If Stallone gets Kurt Russell to be in it I win Tough Guy Bingo.
pffft! bolo yeung (chong li) please. edit: according to bolo's wiki page, sylvester is in talks with him.
I got this! Bring the other Bloodsport star, monkey fighter, out of retirement! <iframe width="420" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/RpTNH1hbbF0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Honestly doesn't matter who's in it unless they seriously ratchet up the action and/or write a better story.
