PS3 price cut

awesome deal. if amazon has another $50/$75/$100 gift card PS3 promos, it would be even sweeter.

 

Finally... I can get a good deal for a used one and play all the games I've been waiting years to play.

 

I got my ps3 for $100. Right now Sony is doing a deal for $200 off when you buy a participating Sony laptop. I love it.

 

Question: I have had a XBox360 for several years and not a PS3, what am I missing out on?

Honestly just blu ray and 3D. If you're into modding, the PS3 is a lot easier to mod (which is ironic because the PS2 was harder than the original xbox). Beyond that, having it as a 3D Blu Ray player is the main case to get it. Most great games are cross platform.

Some games that I think are worth seeking out if you do get a PS3 would be the God of War series and Little Big Planet. I think both those games are great because they are involved and graphically stunning.

 

If you can, get them both.

Eh... If you can, get a Wii then work backwards... The hours I've spent on Wii is almost triple the amount of hours I've spent on the Xbox. Plus, on Wii I'm playing with an attractive girl (my girlfriend) and on Xbox I'm playing with angry 11 year old boys who love to scream the n-word and f@g. But I guess to each their own...

 

You know what's funny? I just gave my Wii to my friend's 11-year-old boy after getting a Kinect. The boy is not particularly angry, though, as far as I know, so mayb he won't be calling you the n-word and f@g.

 

Have you used the kinect with Netflix yet? It is really cool, they did a great job with that if you ask me.

There are aspects of the kinect I love, but I feel like certain parts of it just don't emulate in the same way they do with the Wii. It's strange but even though I'm holding a controller I think the Wii is a bit more natural feeling...

 

Havn't tried Netflix yet. Sounds like I should.

Right now my complaint about the Kinect is just the lack of software at this point beyond the launch titles (seems the PS Move has the same issue). We'll see what comes down the pipe.

The Wii has some great exclusive games and nice things about it. I just figured there are enough stuff for the XBox to fill my gaming needs and my friend's kids can probably make more use of the Wii than I can.

 

You no longer need the remote with netflix. All you have to do is say "Xbox play" and it plays, pause, and all the generic commands you have. I also love the fact that you can essentially skype using your TV.

That is half right. When I play Wii, it is with an attractive girl (your girlfriend), but when I play Xbox, its with my super sexy wife.

 

I'm happy for you?... I do have a question, if your wife is super sexy, why are you wasting time on my girlfriend? I mean I like my girlfriend, and apparently so do you, but if you have a super sexy wife, shouldn't you reserve all your energy for that?... I'm a bit lost in that regard...
