More detail from WaPo... It is amazing that there is absolutely nothing new here. Attack government, blame Obama, question Obama's job as CINC, support big energy, raise the specter of government indoctrination via grade schools, have a spokesman clarify your remarks in a way that doesn't clarify them, deflect questions by pretending ignorance, trot the wife out to blunt "gay" talk. (Well, that last one may not be so common.) I'm not looking forward to another year of this kind of crap.
And I have to admit I was wrong when I voted in the poll. I underestimated his ambition which one should never do with vain, stupid people.
Perry's already getting criticism on the bernanke comments LOL, dude can't even show bachmann dicipline. those type of comments will absolutely bite him in the rear come general election time. to win the republican nomination you have to be too extreme. the tea party is going to seriously bring the republicans down
I'm just trying to figure out how exactly quantitative easy can be "almost treason." How does this logic work?
You are either with us or against us. If you have any idea that is different than my idea, it is liberal treason.
Being willing to possibly destroy the American economy over ideological reasons is the definition of terrorism. Deal with it
He's trying to help fix the economy. If the fed did nothing the economy would tank even more and therefore help Republicans since they could cry even more about President Obama. /almost treason
... "Longtime Bush spokesman Tony Fratto called Perry’s remarks “inappropriate and unpresidential.” Longtime Bush political adviser Karl Rove told Fox Business News that Perry’s Bernanke comments sounded like he was going to “take him out behind the barn and whup him.” Rove said Perry “did not help his cause” with the Bernanke remarks. “To accuse Bernanke of being a traitor to his country — treason is a crime punishable by death — to say you are going to treat him pretty ugly if he was down in Texas, this was unpresidential and unnecessary,” said Rove. Bush named Bernanke Fed Chairman, replacing Alan Greenspan. Obama nominated Bernanke, a Republican economist, to a seond term. ..."
To be fair, Perry didn't call Bernanke a traitor. He only said that Bernanke would be "almost traitor" if he were to do some quantitative easing. So... Benny B is NOT a traitor in Perry's eyes yet.
Man that's a lot baggage Obama passed in 3 years, one with a Republican house. So please tell us what expenditures and regulations will the Republicans be cutting to fix this if they win the Whitehouse? (he must have been a bang-up executive to get all that done)
The late, Great Molly Ivins saw through this freakazoid Perry a long time ago. Molly Ivins on Rick Perry The late and celebrated liberal columnist was known as a writer of sparkling political commentary infused with a trenchant wit and copious shots of zero-bull**** humor. She was the consummate Texan, a ferocious populist critic of the American right wing, and a sorely missed Mother Jones contributor.
