KCBSKCALDesk KCBS KCAL Kobe Bryant allegedly in a scuffle with a parishioner at a San Diego church. Details at 11pm on KCBS2. http://twitter.com/#!/KCBSKCALDesk
It seems players are misbehaving more than usual due to lockout boredom. --Michael Beasley caught with pot. --Nate Robinson pissing in public. --Kendrick Perkins arrested for fighting. --Andrew Bynum parking in a handicap space. --T-Will stripping on the basketball court. --Kobe fighting at church. And who knows what's yet to come. This isn’t just about basketball anymore... End the lockout!!!
That's not misbehaving. In fact, my ex would vehemently argue that he was in fact doing many people a service. ...Damn her.
Pastor: Kobe, are you interested in making a donation? Kobe: Yeah, uhh, sure. Pastor: Sounds great. Come to my office, and you can write the check. Kobe: I was thinking the money I had in my pockets would do. Pastor: *takes off glasses* I don't see any trick pockets, so unless there's a million dollar bill I don't know about then... Kobe: Nah, I have about 3 grand on me. Pastor: 3 grand? Jesus, no. Kobe: What's wrong with giving you how much I feel about your Church? And what happened to being graceful? Pastor: Grace isn't going to pay the Church's bills. Kobe: Show me the bills, and I'll show you mine. Pastor: Show you the bills? And you'll show me...Kobe I thought you wanted eternal salvation, and not eternal damnation. Kobe: And who are you to say that will happen to me. Pastor: Well you cheated on your wife. Kobe: Aww, hell nah. Come at me bro. Come at me. scuffle...
I came to the bbs to make exactly this observation after seeing Perkins got arrested. So, it's not just me? Players are getting into more trouble than they usually do in the offseason. I wonder if they are offending more, or the just don't have the benefit of NBA handlers smoothing situations over because of the lockout.
Misleading title....the story is some guy tried taking pics of Kobe and his family while his family was at church and Kobe moved his hand/camera away...maybe he did it too hard, but not a scuffle...the guy is now claiming his wrist is injured
seems like a typical off season to me...Kobe wasn't fighting, stripping isn't illegal or bad, just silly....i think it's standing out because of the lack of NBA news.
This happens in every offseason. Players just happen to go out more since there is no training camp, there are no practices, there is possibly no NBA for months.
hmm he's in san diego?? maybe i'll bump into him I just saw Deron Williams at a really crappy mall in the boonies in San Diego. It was very odd since its a crappy mall in the middle of no where and the last place id expect to see an NBA player.
Sounds bogus to me. Really? seek treatment from someone grabbing your cell phone out of your hand? Sounds like a lowlife trying to sue someone for a quick buck.
If someone takes my phone from me and then proceeds to flip through my personal photos on it, I'll probably sue him for something. If I have to trump up a wrist injury, so be it. What if he came across my fetish pics or something? And what is up with saying "seeked" in that article? The word is "sought."
Didn't Ray Lewis say that crime will go up if there's no NFL season. I think it applies to the NBA as well.
