I think that's the point. Just because slavery ended doesn't mean all of a sudden everything is OK and equal.
No one is saying it is equal, but it is getting a damned site better. As the older generation dies off, racial tension gets weaker and weaker, unless a new generation carries it forward like this with attacks on one race by another. Asians have come to America much more recently from far more oppressive governments. And I might add that they've come with a lot less in their pockets than African Americans that have access to Twitter and Facebook. Asian Americans also enjoy higher median personal incomes than any other racial demographic in this country. It all boils down to education and how much a culture values education to provide opportunity for themselves. Bill Cosby said it best, "What the hell good is Brown V. Board of Education if nobody wants it?"
I was a feature entertainer(singer) this year as well as past years for the annual Vietnamese American Youth Excellence Recognition Luncheon. I don't know how the Vienamese do it, but this year, they've managed to find another 25 students who graduated either 1st or 2nd in their high schools in the greater Houston and the surrounding areas. I remembered the honorees were as high as 35 a few years ago. The Vietnamese are an awesome group of people, most came here to America escaping from those commie b*stard rulers. They came here with nothing but the clothes on their backs and in a few short years, they became a shining example of what America is all about. I wish black people would drop all of their bullshat excuses and follow the lead of the Vietnamese......oh wait, I keep forgetting it will never happen because you lefties need these black folks as your litlle useful idiots to carry out your leftist, radical agendas. It isn't an "excuse" this is a fact. I am simply stating that, like the vast majority of the descendants of the kidnapped and enslaved Africans, that I do not know their land(s) or origin, I do not know or carry their names and I do not speak their languages. This will always be the case, to a certain extent, because they were not allowed to pass the knowledge down to me. So IDK why you are calling this an "excuse", this is a fact. Read the history of Africans in the Americas and it will clearly show that such knowledge was not allowed to be passed on (although for a few they were able to pass it)
Yet it was the right who put a blatant racist in charge of civil rights and at the Justice department. That's embarrassing. I will wait on you to answer the question how the left is keeping African Americans down.
