How are they even still in business? Their uptime for me is literally like 66%. Both my TV and internet are out for 8 hours a day. I think I ended up chatting with them online four times and calling them three times. Everyone they send over to try to fix it are incompetent morons, and some people don't even show up period. The customer service people online and on the phone take turns blaming it on a server outage, line failure, modem failure, and all this bull****. The point is they take turns pointing fingers but none of them really give a damn about fixing it. I'm praying for Verizon's FiOS to start covering this area so I can switch out of this bull**** internet and TV service. P.S. Every time I ask them about the '25 dollars credit if we can't fix your problem on the first attempt' and the '25 dollars credit if we don't show up for your appointment' they completely dodge my question. **** them. **** them all to hell.
people whose apartments dont face the right way and thus can't get Direct TV or DISH, and don't have Uverse in their area are pretty much screwed. I have comcast for the same reasons, and while it is a step up from Ygnition / TV Max (my apt had a contract with them until recently firing them), its still pretty bad.
Is anyone having problems with theirs right now though? Ever since like a month or two ago my internet goes down every single day. Sometimes for half the day...
You really have to hassle the hell out of them for those credits. About 2 months ago, they screwed me big time by missing a few appointments. I ended up making several calls over a 4 day period (I had nothing better to do) and eventually I got them to credit me $45 plus $15 off my cable bill for the next year. I kept telling everyone that their apologies meant to me if they weren't going to properly compensate me. I would of held out for more, but unfortunately they are the only service I can get in my area.
I had issues with internet a few weekends ago. It kinda sucked ass. At least the lady on the other line sounded nice. Bet she's real hot.
yes, almost every day there are problems. Every few minutes there seems to be some type of failure. Our cable is also down about 3 times a week.
I had comcast when I was in the woodlands, and never had an outage outside of the first month. Cable worked without fail, now that I'm up in Conroe the only thing is Suddenlink, if you think Comcast is crap, try this company. I am purposely living without cable now just so they don't get my business. Consolidated will provide internet but nothing else, so at least I have this.
I've had Comcast in my new place for 2 weeks now and I ****ing miss Uverse so much. Hell, Dish Network was better than this ****.
It'll be a while before FIOS is in this area. I haven't had any issues with Comcast's internet in my 8 years of being a customer. As far as TV goes, IMO... DirecTV is the best TV programming available in this city.
I do have the option of going Dish with a deposit that I don't remember how much is going to cost. I guess it's worth the investment?
I just started dealing with the Comcast mess. It's ridiculous. Nothing better than when you sit waiting for 3 or 4 hours(whatever the installation time window they give you is) and have your phone by your side yet the time window flies by and you call them to enquire as to where the technician is. Then you get told, "oh, he said he called three times but there was no reply". #**K you! How the heck do they let their technicians get away with crap like that??? Luckily those SOB's gave me my damn credit. I just want to move to a place with FIOS available and I'd be more than happy to settle for U-Verse over the sh#t that is Comcast/TimeWarner and their monopoly over most areas.
