Wow, that was pretty blatant stuff by Mares and he obviously knew Mora was on the take or just had no respect for his competence. Feel bad for Agbeko, all that guy does is fight wars.

Oh well, Donaire is going to crush Mares if they fight so perhaps justice will be served.

I thought it was hilarious how they called out the ref right there. I was cracking up. But I do feel they over exaggerated. I mean, cmon, 25 low blows? They took away from Mares big title win. I dont think Mares was intentionally doing it. Not excusing the ref though, he was horrible.

Honestly, that low blow knockout luckily hit King Kong's gloves or his nuts would have been scrambled like Mike Vick at QB.

Fixed fight. Line moved from -135 to -295 for Mares before the fight. FBI does not joke around with these kind of line moves.

lol so Mares didnt get penalized for a low blow, but instead Agbeko lost a point bc it was ruled a knock down?

I don't think that fight is going to happen because Nonito Donaire is with Bob Arum/Top Rank and Abner Mares is with De La Hoya/Golden Boy Promotion.

I think it will happen, the only other guy who could fight at Bantamweight for a title is Anselmo Moreno. It would be an easy win for Donaire if he fights Mares. Mares makes too many mistakes on defense, and the only reason Agbeko didn't ever hit him hard enough to knock him down was because Abner would keep him at a distance and he had to lunge and lean a bit with his right hand. Donaire hits harder and would lay Abner out.

Former UFC/MMA fighter Kimbo Slice made his pro boxing debut last night.

Let's be honest, Donaire is going to lay 99.9 % of boxers out. This guy has number 1 P4P written all over him. The only guy close to him in skill is Gamboa, but gamboa isn't as invisible as donaire is at the moment.

I'd say Gamboa is closest in talent...he's not nearly as sharp or fundamentally sound as Donaire. He does have the size advantage though with his stocky mini-Tyson physique. That's another great fight I'd like to see down the line.
