Nice game! yep that was a red card.
US players have a lot of speed, damn!

    Klinsman looks good.

Maybe Holden and Altidore might make your team better, but not Dempsey. Chicharito alone *healthy, Kam* would trump anyone you add, though. Again, Gio and Chicharito at the forwards are the mix that Mexico was missing the last 10 years.
No, it was just that Rogers was waaaaaaaaaaaayyyy faster than Torrado. :p

I don't know WTF was going on letting Torrado stay back as the safety man on that counterattack... it should have been a faster guy. He got taken.

I just watched the highlights, looks like it was a good game.

I'm a huge Klinsmann supporter. Give him 6 months, he will transform this team into a young, flexible, fast, tight-knit unit.

Give Klinsmann 6-12 months, and then the young team 6-12 months to gel. I think the US will have a strong team at the next two World Cups.

Of course Holden and Dempsey make the team better. It's gives them more creativity on the ball...something lacking sorely in a midfield consisting of Bradley, Jones and Torres.

    Leroy,

How did you feel watching the last 30 minutes of the match? That was the best, most creative ball I have seen from the US team - maybe ever.

    It seriously gave me hope.

Chicharito is overrated but still a game changer for mexcian team. He does fit in well in ManU's style of game though...but I hope he becomes more then just an opportunist type player. Looking forward to the premier League already.

Swoly - atleast the U20 team made it past Cameroon.

^ LOL! Shut up. SHUT. UP. :p we will surprise the coffeemakers.
Torres played decent to good. Bradley seemed lost... and was not even involved in any of the scoring plays... like... he was having all plays go "around him"... did he piss off someone in practice? Is he dating one of the other dudes' sister...? What happened?

Anyway, A+ coaching for K-mann, C- coaching for "Chepo" De La Torre. Jürgen lit a fire under the gringos at halftime: "Listen up, mother truckers... F that settling back into a defensive mode crap... I an't no Bob Bradley... let's score and take this FORGETTING game! "

Once Donovan moved inside, behind the forwards, I'd agree. The passing was still lacking from many. Donovan had a break with Torres coming on his left and LD left it behind Torres. That happened a few times. It's simple mistakes that are easily corrected. Those are the passes that Holden makes easily...plus he's much more of a threat to score from outside than Donovan or Torres.

Both teams have very inconsistent. Then again this is sub20. Even if they do surprise I don't see them getting past el Albiceleste.

I also like Holden a lot, and can't wait to see him on the pitch with LD.

I was never a big Robbie Rogers guy, but I really really value speed on the national level, and that guy had some jets.

He wasn't THAT fast. Even YOU could probably outrun Torrado. :p

He was outrunning everyone on that pitch, and was pulling away...

It's hard to tell because Torrado fouled Rodgers, but it looks like Guardado was running him down before the foul

i am optimistic but we still have a long way to go to play with the big boys. one second-half absolute domination of mexico proves little.

Best soccer from a US team I have ever seen, the most fluid play, and I loved it.

Swoly, why are you bashing on Dempsey? He's creative on the field in a way that most Americans typically are not and he is the leading career scorer for Fulham in the Premier League era. Chicharito and Dos Santos can't lay claim to something like that.

please negros. if barrera was playing, along with chicharito and gio, then at half time only sub in denigris. the score would not have been close. more like 4-1

y'all are lucky barrera, chicharito and denigris didn't play.
nice to see arellano play though. he did ok
