Losing really doesn't seem to bother me right now.

If the young guys play well, it feels like a win

If they don't, it feels like a loss

But I sure can't wait till i do care about wins again

If it was just losing from all-around bad play, or such I would agree. But it is like this team manages to continually pluck defeat from the jaws of victories and trying to find every single artful way to lose games.

It really is just mind boggling how it seems that none of the Astros pitchers can consistently hold leads and close games this year.

It's called being not very good...

Losing teams fond ways to lose, the Astros aren't any different.

well hey, look at it this way. At least we didn't blow another lead of 4+ runs on for 2 out of the 4 games against the d-backs. amirite or amirite?

The Astros have to improve the bullpen for next year. I know that spending money on the bullpen seems like an unneccessary luxury when you're this bad, but if the starters and the manager can't trust the bullpen to hold any lead whatsoever, it's going to be a huge hindrance on the development of the starters. And the bullpen is one place where you can improve through free agency.

If Ed Wade is still here, I can assure you money will be spent on the bullpen.

And if Wade is still here, he will spend it on a guy who just had a career season and is due to regress back to his average.

He has a mandate to cut salary to $60. I'm pretty sure will still HAVE to cut salary next year to do that, meaning there is no way he can sign any semi-big name to big name relievers.

I really wonder if there is something wrong with the development a lot of these guys are doing, because a lot of the issues seem to be with location and focus as walks and missing pitches high right over the plate. I know sometimes a guy just can't do it, but the high numbers of guys messing up due to that starts to look like a trend.
