I'm not sure if Clanton and Zierlein would pair together that well since their styles are very similar. I feel as they would both try to out-funny each other and would constantly be doing impressions.

Hosts with different styles tend to make the best combos.

Agreed. Is there a reason to think Clanton wants a full time job on the radio anyway?

I dont know lance z, but the lineup on 790 is rock solid. add a full time clanton and if lance z is really that good, then i dont see any other radio station being anywhere close to 790.

charlie is my favorite host, as long as that remains as is; ill be happy.

I actually tweeted Zierlein a few weeks ago telling him about how I felt 1560 had lost what made it so great. It was renegade radio. They were the one station that had the guys to talk crap about the other stations. They did and said things no other station would dare do or say. They were the anti-corporate station and now they have gone corporate. I can't blame David Gow and his partners for wanting to move up in the world, but the station lost its soul.

It sure sounds like he is headed to 790 and if so, that's a great thing. I can't believe the transformation that station has made. They went from nearly dead during the Lopez/DeLuca/Brad Davies days to possibly the best lineup in the history of Houston sports radio.

If he goes to AM790, it's over. They will own sports radio talk in Houston. Everyone worth a dime will be at one station. I hope Goofball stays put and doesn't follow.

The other question I have is what will they do with Granato? Will he stick around at 1560? If so, it will basically be the inverse of what happened when they left 610 when Zierlein stayed on the air a few extra weeks after Granato left and it was really awkward because it was obvious that Lance was upset about the whole situation.

Screw that. Put him in the spot taken by Mighty Gwinn.

It isn't possible to be more annoying than Mr. Gwinn.

Maybe I went too far, Josh Anus is the worst though IMO.

As much as I would like Lance to simply replace Gwinn, I've always thought Lance was better playing off of a partner. He's obviously best with Granato, but when he has worked with other partners it's been gold as well.

Fine. Team him up with Gwinn, then gag Gwinn. Problem solved!

"Gwinn, bang your head on the mic 2 times if you agree..."
    "*thump* *thump*"
    "Woo!"

    LZ 10-1
    Matt Thomas 1-3
    Pallilo 4-7

would be awesome. With Clanton would be even better. I think Lance and Clanton would be a good combo for late morning.

I could even see LZ joining Mat & Adam if they just can't get rid of Gwynn.

I would rather Gwinn get the Private Pyle treatment and LZ team with Matt Thomas.

Refresh my memory, did Lance Z start, or was a part of the late great orangewhoopass website back in the day?

I think that just means they got a ton of news listeners now that LZ is gone.

I like Adam not being full time radio, and I think he likes that too. Let the man sleep. I like him radio whoring on both stations.

Morning have changed for me from now on. I go where Lance goes. Granato by himself is horrible and even with the help of John Harris this week its been rough. From what I can remember, I don't think Lance likes playing it solo on the radio. He works best when he is having a conversation with another host. I think him and Wexler would be great. I also wonder if he has some non-compete clause in his contract where he can't be on the radio for a couple of months.
