Yeah! Don't consider his past when evaluating him! Only the future!

Because we haven't seen NFL postseason in this town in well over 15 years.

Actually, these were being said of him the entire season before he left. Revisionists are the ones claiming that letting him go caused the secondary to tank.

That's what the Texans brass tried to pump out, using McClain and Justice. The fans were skeptical from the get go. A CB known more for being a help against the run than against the pass.....hmmm.....

Jerome Solomon was just about the only one making an effort to come up with excuses about Okoye. Fanbase sniffed out his stink by year 3.

Keep the razors out of the house.

I think it was Justice that constantly tried to berate the fanbase for "wanting" to lose. That they only talked Texans when they screwed up.

It's more that we've endured the Chinese Water Torture for so long with this franchise that any little drop makes us go insane.

A playoff berth, a homefield playoff berth will go lightyears to restoring the fanbase back to a level of sanity.

    so what's different this year than in year's before?,...O yea, I forgot,...ALOT!
plus not a ton O coaches who have everything working for them.

Coach Fisher's focus/background was on defense and could game call better than anyone, but he failed to put together a dynamic offense for when the great defense he once had went poop...the negative got exposed...other examples I'm sure can be had, ask fans in other cities if they think their team's NFL coach is kool-aid with everything they do...prob. not

Like I said, Kubiak has brought something to the table that is working, and the other side really and truly got addressed like no other year since he has been here...

Kubiak is NOT my ideal coach, but he has brought something the players overall and offense really likes. . .Once upon a time ESPN did commercials kinda backslapping embarassing about a non-existant offensive line, now you have weeny fans claiming Arian is the NFL rushing champion due to an offensive scheme that works better than anything and opens up holes than apparently no other team can...Amazing example and than there is the affirmation of QB's who swear to the ability to learn from Kubiak as strength...

Kubiak, like it not may be here a while based on positive changes which addressed the minuses. . .combine that with the existing positives and BOOM!

A big ween bomb just hit you in the face!

I remember reading scouting reports after we drafted him where there was concern that he wasn't going to get any better because he played for Saban. That yes, Saban is good at coaching up secondary players, but it's a danger because they've pretty much maxed out their potential before even getting drafted. And then there was also the concern that because he was playing in the SEC, he had more experience playing against the run than the pass.

All that stuff came out on draft night. I'm sure a lot of us were hopeful, but we were also shocked by the pick (because he was a projected 2nd rounder) and cautious from the get go.

    The Colts are Crap
    Jags are Crap

To me 10-6 is the bare minimum with this team

I think it is safe to Safe. . . Kubiak will be the Texans Coach
for AT LEAST 2 more years

I dunno . .. seems to me. . . when dealing with kubiak
it is always like you trying to cover too much space with too little material
IF the offense improves. . the defense goes to pot
now that the defense has improved . . the offense has slipped
[and this was even before AJ went out]

Seems like he will FIND A WAY to bring the Texans back to mediocrity

When a coach like Harbaugh can come into San Fran without OTA's and turn it around, it sure shows you the difference a good HC can make.

Kubiak is not a good HC.

Harbaugh is certainly doing good things but how much of that was Singletary being just that bad? The 49ers shouldnt have been as bad as they had been the last couple of years.

Yes the HC should make sure that your star linebacker and left tackle shouldn't use banned substances, which gets them suspended 4 games. And he should make sure that his star WR doesn't have a lingering ankle problem all season, which causes him to miss 4 games. He should make sure that his pro-bowl TE doesn't miss 5 games. And he should make sure his pro-bowl middle line-backer doesn't miss 12 games. Finally, the HC should make sure his star DE doesn't have a lingering sports hernia issue, which forces him to end the season early. The HC should be "able to fix it whenever he wants to."

With that being said, I do blame him and the GM for thinking we had enough help in the secondary. That's on them.

I will be really annoyed if he gets out-coached Sunday. Even without AJ, we better ******* win.

With our schedule, 11 wins or a playoff win is the only thing that will make me even think about supporting the notion of him coming back for another year.

But his contract runs through next year and I don't think Bob is giving up on him either way, unless we have a losing season.
