I doubt Kubiak was completely removed from the situation but it was obvioust that defense was the focus in this draft, no matter who the coach was.
You hear? Did you watch last year? McCain and Jackson were equally bad. Neither was worse because you cannot get much worse than they were.
You know who would sabotage the health of Kareem Jackson, Jason Allen, and Brandon Harris just to see some playing time to prove all his doubters wrong? You guessed it... Spoiler Antaun Molden
I heard the noontime 790 guy mention just before a break that he had some Brooks Reed news, but I had to get out of the car before he gave it. Anyone know what that was?

I liked Jason Allen okay last year. He seems to be a cerebral player that gets the position, lacks a little bit of atheleticism, but knows his limits and plays to his strengths. He'll get burned often enough to need deep safety help, but he can play most of the position well enough to be a decent #2. I'm a little worried about what they're saying about Manning out of camp, though. It sounds like he doesn't know either safety position after three years in the league. He's an elite athlete, though. You know who else is an elite athlete that hasn't yet learned his position? You guessed it... Spoiler Amobi Okoye
I thought Allen did ok last year as well. Hopefully he can build off that especially since he can focus soley on CB (i heard somewhere that he was taking reps at Safety and CB while in miami and that may have slowed his growth). Allen never struck me as a great athlete but at the combine he ran a 4.39, 6.77 cone drill (best time was 6.64) and he had the fastest 20 yard shuttle. I was shokced by those numbers. i must have missed the Manning critiques...but he's much better than what they had.
I don't know if you're just being funny or what, but I hadn't heard this. Where did you find find this?
I haven't heard any specific critiques of Manning out of camp, but I said in thread when he was signed that a critique of his is that his football IQ is not very high. He makes boneheaded decisions and he blows coverages. He just doesn't do it as much as what we are used to. As for Jason Allen, he's not very good, but at least he has shown some ability to make a play on the ball.
Where are you getting that about Manning, weslinder? Bears fans are pretty upset about losing him. He probably does have some relearning to do since he was a SS there and this scheme calls for twin cover safeties. I think he'll get there. It's encouraging to hear that Nolan's looked good. Hopefully he rotates in. Hope you're handy with a water cooler.
Kareem will be fine! You'll see! He's going to be so much better this year! What? What are you showing me? I can't see because of the hideous red and blue bull on the front of my lenses.
Kareem: I got you this time Walter (prays to God for a sign) Walter: Ok well I am doing a straight go route on 2 so just run straight back Kareem: Thanks Kevin, I tied my shoes in double knots so there is no way I will slip. Walter: Whatever you think will help you out Kareem: Hmmm Schaub: Hut Hut Kareem: Oh Damn Walter: I am sorry man, maybe next rep. Kareem: Ah Ha I got your jersey! Walter: WTF? Kareem: You can't burn me while I am going for a piggy back ride Walter to himself: If I went against this guy every down I would make AJ look like a 4th WR.
Someone that's been covering the Texans camp who was interviewed on 790 around 11:20 or so. Second time I've heard it from different sources, though. I've heard that Glover Quin has pretty clearly outplayed Manning at camp so far.
