I am not going to argue with you there. But, I think the bailouts were as important to the individual 401k's as they were to the banks etc. What I didn't like was the structure, they should be paying back that money with interest, just like everyone else. DD

I just think here in Britain we've been too soft on crime and have now bred a generation of scumbags who think they're untouchable by the law. I saw an interview with one of the scum looting, who said they were doing it, "to show the rich people and police we can do whatever we want to". That's no reason to destroy people's businesses they have worked hard for. Who the hell do these people think they are???? Utter braindead gutter people. Who exactly do they think they are punishing by destroying their own communities? Normal people in this country have been warning for a decade or so that these chavs are not just "anti-social" (anti social behaviour is the worst and most inappropriate phrase ever imo), they are DANGEROUS CRIMINALS, who need to be dealt with harshly. All of the normal law abiding folk who live in towns and cities across the country have been trying our best to warn what these people were like, we see them every day, they are the underclass of the world, absolute scum with a sense of entitlement who should be shot, and I genuinely mean that. There is no hope for them, they are a waste of air. Now it seems to be too late and this scum is now openly running amok in our towns and cities. What pisses me off the most is once this hopefully calms down soon, we're gonna get the pathetic lily livered liberal eejits out telling us how we should "listen" and "understand" these people (it's happening already, even in this thread). No, we should execute them or at least lock them up for life.
Wasn't talking about us so to speak, but a significant amount of our government spending is on equipment and research for our military, which has thousands of jobs attached to it. What brought us out of the great depression was WW2. I am not calling for war at all, just saying a lot of these youths have grown up with screwed up morals and a lack of quality parenting, and an understanding of responsibilities of the individual for a country/community. Maybe we should just reinstitute a national draft, everyone should serve a year or two - give em a little discipline and perspective. DD
