    Rest in Peace Landlord Landry.

Very sad to hear about his children and how young he was. My prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

i have read this thread since saturday. this feels like a big deal. i haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I was much less productive at work. I don't even know the guy. I feel slightly depressed.

he was truly brilliant. Sometimes even the brilliant can pick a path that wasn't the best. He taught so many when he didn't even know he was teaching. I learned some things from him. The main thing was that you should keep learning and evolving.

I just wished I could continue to watch him evolve on this board.

damn it is strange how tragic news about someone you never met or know can hit you pretty hard. Feel for the 4 kids.. they cant be that old since LL was only 32.. Can't imagine losing a father at such a young age.

To the one ignorant poster trying to start a flame war... get out.. and start your own thread and dont do it here. We all have different views and faiths and we need to respect that. The tragedy here is someone has lost his life. Doesnt matter how it happend or what he did. Best wishes to his family and kids.

it is weird how this made me feel. i make it a point not to post in "please pray for" threads. i don't know, i may just be a jerk. but if i hear that something happened to an actual poster, especially someone who has left a mark on this site, it moves me. don't want to get to mushy but even though you may not meet in person, we do know the personalities of many people on this site.

i didn't know about his personal life, did see the thread on the split when he posted it and i felt bad for him them. losing a woman is hard, especially seeing her with someone else. it can weigh heavily. it can be worse, domestic violence. i know its easy to say someone should have perspective but we don't know the mental issues that lurk deeply in someone. we're not all built the same, if we were, we wouldn't care nearly as much as we do when do hear of someone passing.

It's a tough reminder that there are real lives behind each screen name, very sad to hear.

    RIP LL.

i just saw this. I didn't know him well but i feel a deep sadness at this tragedy and can only imagine how much pain he must have been in. I hope his surviving family will be well taken care of.

    Repped.

I know that I have said this before but I still miss him. How can you not miss Rhien?? I just hope he is at peace but I worry about his wife and kids.

To those who don't know - try to read his facebook page (Rhien Gundlach) and it will probably answer a lot of your questions.

are you purposely trying to be a dick? if so please leave it in another thread.

a man lost his life and left behind a wife, a family and kids. It's a huge tragedy. I was referring to not being judgemental if he did take his own life. Agree with what pgabs said. We are all wired differently and react to things differently.

No, sir. Not trying to "be a dick." Don't be overly sensitive.

What I mean is that it ALWAYS matters how someone passes. We must learn from history so we don't repeat it.

I am not going to sit here and enjoy someone's passing, or approve what everyone does without knowing. I've asked before how he passed, but it seems that no one wants to explain it or answer it. Fine, that's cool, I've left it alone. It's odd how you say he "lost his life"... that gives me some clue.

Go back to my initial post in the first page, as I was one of the first to react at least in this thread when everyone first learned.

I don't think I would have quoted you three times, though. What's with that?

    okay fair enough..
dont know what happened with the three quotes. On the ipad and was doing some copying and pasting and it might have messed something up.

I agree it would be nice if someone on here who knew him did shed some light on who he was. I did visit his facebook page and there is some information on there.
