i corresponded with him a few times off the board. in both places he seemed an intense, but honest soul. i hope he found the peace he was seeking.

ya, like master baiter I identified with LL's struggles when he lost his faith. people don't realize how traumatic it can be to admit to yourself that you don't believe in a higher power, and that feeling is even MORE painful when those around you can't accept it.

He lost his "heavenly father" and then because of that, his family (according to his posting history).

I think the medical community should focus more on the mental health of those who have a religious deconversion. there are people out there who really need someone to talk to, yet find rejection everywhere they turn.

In reading through his final posts and threads, definitely see signs of depression. I feel so sorry for the entire situation and everyone in it. RIP LL.

So sad to lose a fellow clutchfan; this hurts my heart. Prayers for him and the family he left behind. I definitely see depression also and, especially remembering the other threads, I hate that it turned out this way.

This thread was fun. LL was a big time chiefs fan for sure so I decided to pay homage in my sig with the red and yellow. There weren't that many AFC west fans back then, I think it was just him representing KC, moes with the Raiders and I'm pretty sure Manny was a Broncos fan.

Really sucks to lose him, I felt he was an exceptional poster not only about sports but also about music. Glad he got to see the Chiefs climb back from mediocre-town for his last NFL season alive though :(.

You will be missed, no question about it.

Damn. I don't ever meet anyone from clutchfans outside of this board, but certainly it was interesting to see the changes his beliefs had undergone over the last year from his posts. I respected him a lot for that, rare to see someone willing to really reanalyze their views so completely. To see that this caused the conflict it did with his family is so sad.

    RIP LL

I am just now getting home from vacation to see that we've lost one of our own. Poor LL, hopefully he has some peace now. Thoughts go out to his kids and wife.

Its times like this I wish every one of you had my phone number so I could mother you a bit and maybe make you laugh at my silliness. A lot of times I feel like I don't have anyone to talk to here at home and yall become my distraction to the stress and sadness of life.

I wish hugs to all of you, cause I feel like we all need it, so go find someone to physically give you the squeeze I can't.

IIRC, his family completely ostracized him for his beliefs (?).

If this is true, what a great bunch of "Christians" those people are. Nothing, not even Zombie Jew Jesus himself could come between my children and I at that level. So sad.

    RIP, LL.

Mental health is really struggling, and not just in the area of religiosity. It is, quite frankly, embarrassing.
