Miss the spit curl but like the costume, especially the way they handled the cape as it attaches to his shoulders. That tapered look is very reminiscent of the comic book look and, I think, very cool. Nice to see the classic boots as well.
Jon Hamm would have been perfect since he already has a big build. Too old I guess since they're probably thinking sequels.
Suit and color looks good. The cape too fabric like. The cape material should at least match the suit. Seriously too much hair.
I to like the suit and cape for the most part. It looks new yet feels retro as well. I wonder if the trunks are there though as rumors are he doesn't have them to he is now wearing blue trunks instead. Kinda iffy on the color would have preferred to see this as the color scheme (retouched pic courtesy of Latino review poster "Larry"). Find it interesting that they changed his S-Sheild as it sorta looks like they combined the traditional version with the version that belongs to the Earth 2 alt version of Superman. Overall they did a pretty good job with the new suit.
Agree^^ The suit looks very classic yet different and much prefer the material cape to the rubber crap we got in SR. Not sold on the hair, need to see more of it but overall looks great. Need to see Zod and Lois to get a better picture of what they might be up to.

Got a pretty solid cast. If this cast fails to deliver a good superman movie hollywood should give up on the concept. Superman is hard to deliver on screen because he is...well...too super. If a movie with this talent in it can't produce a modern movie that does justice to superman no one can.
Superman should have ended with Christopher Reeve. They should focus more on a Super Friends or Justice League trilogies. Less character development, since we all know who they are and just do it like the cartoon movies.
I find it interesting that Lex Luthor isn't going to be part of the movie. I understand building another movie around Lex as the villain has gotten old but he is such a big part of the mythology that not having him at all feels odd. I wonder if we might not see something like Wolverine in X-Men first class...short brief spot but not part of the story at all. Something like showing LexCorp would be nice or like Batman Begins and the Joker card at the end.
Kinda agree, but I still want to see a big screen adaptation of a Supes villain that is just as strong or stronger than him and doesn't fall back on using kryptonite. The "super" part of Superman isn't so hard to write when he's facing off against baddies like Darkseid, Doomsday, Braniac, and even Mongul.
Too much hair and I guess the cape is going to be CGI. Guy looks a tad short though but I'm guessing the camera angles will make him look bigger. New pictures do look better than 50's greaser superman from initial pic.
Cavill looks great and the I'm liking the design a lot. Very modern. The color is a little dull but we'll see with post production color correction.
