Because none of them were All-Stars. Bibby was overrated and BJax and Terry are career backups. Mookie Blaylock >>> Bibby, BJax and Terry
From Clutch's description of the Forum: "Hell, the slower people in the group can even talk about the ex-Rocket Tracy McGrady."
I believe Terry became a career backup after he was traded to Dallas. Before that, he was a career starter.
Jason Terry was the second best player on a championship team. Bibby was the starting PG on what should have been a championship team and BJAX was a solid contributor to that team. I don’t get what makes those insulting comparisons to Aaron Brooks. Also, DaDakota, this thread is talking about Brooks’ best year as a HOUSTON ROCKET. Stop being so cranky. If you don’t like it, go start your own quality, non-BS threads.
Brooks' 09-10 season and Mahmoud Abul-Rauf's 92-93 season are remarkably similar in both basic and advanced statistics. http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=0&p1=brookaa01&y1=2010&p2=abdulma02&y2=1993 Both also won MIP in their respective seasons, their third years in the league. Both 6'0'', 160 pounds. I'm too young to have watched Abdul-Rauf play, though, so I can't say beyond the numbers how accurate the comparison is. Maybe someone who did can shed some light.
I don't get why some people (names not needed to be named) need to come in this thread ****ting all over it. I mean this is an objective, discussable thread worth reading about during an incredibly slow off season + lockout. It provides perspectives on different players for comparison, and nowhere in the opening post or thread title does it imply Brooks is a bad player or whatnot. Just because a thread is in the wrong section doesn't make it any worse of a thread. Clutch will move it if need be, otherwise I don't see why there needs to be repeated posts by the same people/person about how it's the wrong section.....
LOL seriously. Also, Carl Herrera started a legit thread that gives a more detailed insight on Brooks' best season in the league. A season that he played every game in a Rockets uni.
