There is a comedic version of Ant-Man (the Eric O'Grady incarnation of the character). A comedy would therefor not rule out a direct adaptation, it just wouldn't be an adaptation of the Hank Pym version of Ant-Man.
I'm really stoked to see this movie, but I'm afraid it might suck considering that Hulk, Capt, and Thor, Ironman 2 were sub par. I hope they'll get a villain they can't beat and I pray to GOD there won't be ANY women in this movie. The stupid love affairs have ruined the movies.
<br> Yeah I agree. I still think the exclusion of Ant-Man is pretty lame. But I understand their need to make the movie compact and not overly drawn out. Perhaps in sequels or something.
This movie is going to suck badly. Looks like a costumes party. Should be following the X-Men formula.
So I don't get it. Capt America will lead the team of Avengers? Isn't he the least qualified person to lead the group. For one, he's the weakest out of the 4 (Ironman counts as Stark) and he doesn't seem to have the brains. At least that's what I got from the Capt America movie. I mean he was even a puppet for some Senator at one point!
I don't see all the personalities following a guy who just woke up from the 40's. I think Thor is too arrogant, and Stark is.. well he's Stark, and I'm not sure what role Banner/Hulk will have on this one. Maybe the Arrow guy might, but isn't he made to follow Capt anyway? I feel like I'm missing one other superhero. Maybe they'll have a different approach in this movie where Capt is the first Avenger, but not necessarily the leader. I never knew anything about the Avengers before these recent movies, but they make it seem like Sam Jackson is the mastermind.
Who do you think they'd follow? The arrogant Thor? The arrogant, womanizing Stark? The out of control Hulk? The cocky womanizing Hawkeye? The beautiful SPY Black Widow? I don't know how it will play out in the movies, but there is a reason why in the comics Captain America was the best choice to lead the team and why he's been the most accepted team leader in the Marvel Universe.
Cap is the leader. Intangible leadership abilities. Look at real-world leaders in the past. Not always the strongest or best looking or smartest or biggest.
I'm guessing Sam Jackson is the mastermind while Capt is the one in the front during missions/battles keeping everyone's egos in line. At least that's how it'll be in the movie by my guess.

Oh, man. Scarlett is hot, Thor looks freakin' cool, and Tony Stark is wearing a Black Sabbath shirt. I can't wait for this movie.
