yeah, happy Ramadan to everyone. Just be careful, and remember your limitations as far as exposure to heat and exertion.

My point is, this world will be a better place if humans are a result of love-making rather than recreational sex. :p

HAHAHA! now that's funny, I don't care who you are. But seriously, poverty in this country is a lot different than poverty in a 3rd world nation.

    Happy Ramadan 2012!

Thought I'd revive this thread since a lot of FAQ's already answered in here.

According to ISGH (Islamic Society of Greater Houston) Ramadan will start tomorrow, 7/20/12. But Ramadan Kareem to those brothers who start today

I'll add on that genuine interest about Ramadan is appreciated by most people.

    Ramadan Kareem!

I know i've been toying around with this since last summer in preparation.

I stack the majority of my day's calories on my breakfast. Typically I'll go with a protein shake with a banana and a handful of strawberries mixed in, some eggs, a cheese stick, a bowl of Kashi Go Lean cereal, a multivitamin, fish oil caps, and about 4 glasses (32 oz) of water. This'll run roughly 500-600 cals if I'm not mistaken.

Then when it comes time to break my fast at iftar, I'll eat the date, then grab a quick preworkout carb up (usually sticking with a whole wheat, peanut butter and jelly sandwich - around 100ish cals) go workout for about 45 mins, then head back home to eat a light 300-400 cal dinner with chicken breast, greens and more water.

On the day, I try to aim for 1200-1400 cals.

I ran with this rough structure last year and felt hydrated and full during the day and lost weight and gained muscle over the month.

As far as the actual workout, usually any plan or strict routine will work, just keep the weights a bit lower and focus on reps and form, since it'll be tough for you to fuel the heavier weights since your on a reduced calorie diet. Also a great chance to get in the cardio to shred up any stubborn fat areas. HIIT cardio for best results.
