Right now, any basketball is good basketball, and KD really put on a show, dropping 66 at Rucker Park last night, including this sequence of shots that brought down the house:

    Awesomeness.

I wonder, is Rucker open to the general public during normal days?

Can average joseph's like me play if I ever visit the area?

Doesn't matter where it is (pick-up games, NBA games, NCAA), when players make heat check shots, it's awesome to watch.

Those were all heat-checks by KD, and he made them all.

He said on Facebook that it was one of the best times of his life, and he loves NY. As you can imagine, his comments were flooded with "KD to the Knicks," "Trade Carmelo straight up for KD," "KD loves New York," etc.

Wow!!!!!! Guys like Durant and James, Wade, Rose, Carmelo, and Bryant are such a talented group of guys. They have a god given talent and it is such a great experience to watch these guys play wherever, NBA, Olympics, pickup basketball games doesnt matter. These guys were meant to shine wherever they play.

That was great to watch. What a way to finish up a 66-point game in front of appreciative fans.

Durantula fixed his jumper from watching this.

he normally likes to lean into his 3pt shots which makes them hit the back iron far to often. now he is keeping his back more straight which is allowing it to float in the hoop rather than being pushed.

if Durant keeps that type of form, his 3pt shooting will go up.

Goddamnit I hope the season just runs like normal this time around. I don't want to wait. Once preseason hits, I want to start watching the Rockets and seeing all the new players.

    Damn it.

I wouldn't really consider this "killin it". He made a few three pointers in a streetball game where NOBODY plays any real defense. Great performance in terms of a crowd pleaser though.

well he's a NBA superstar he should score 66pts.
It would be like me playing against a bunch of middle schoolers.. I'm sure I could get 66 pts too :)

Didn't James Harden just drop 60+ in some charity game last week? Good NBA players can score at will against no-names that don't play defense. There's a huge gulf between even a scrub on an NBA team and a street ball star.

i would bet you have to be pretty damn good to get on the court. even in my best playing days i wouldnt have even tried.

"killin it" is all relative - if that was one of us than you could say we were "killin it". but durant is top 10 or maybe top 5 player in the world going up against a bunch of unknowns in a streetball game. its a nice show, but its not that impressive. thats like if a grown man beats up a little girl and then starts strutting around flexing his muscles - "yeah, i showed her!"
