If i remember right, the "hibernation machine" that Lion-O was in, malfunctioned or something causing him to age more (or something like that)
You're prolly right. I just always thought there was a reason. like Jaga purposely aging Liono in order to allow him to lead or something.
I liked it. Looks very promising. Cartoon Network also did a very good job with the reboot of the He-man series back in the early 2000s. Only thing I didn't like about it is no Panthro. Doesn't look like he will be a part of the team for some time. Jaga is a bad ass with that mystical cleric thing. saw Lynx-O in the watch tower.
I thought that He-man reboot was very well done as well. Too bad they couldn't sell toys to keep it alive. Liked what I saw in the first episode, has a much more epic feel than I expected. Hopefully it continues that way, only complaints are about the voice acting from some of the cast, Lion-o's dad just didn't sound right, Mummra either. I'm sure it'll just take some time for me to get used to the new verisons.
To be fair, Lion-O's voice actor never sound "quite right". Only voice actor on the the original ThunderCats wroth a damn was Grandpa Huxtable, Earle Hyman, who voiced Panthro. I would be down for a Silver Hawks reboot too.
Read that after I posted that, just didn't think he sounded right for the character, doesn't matter since he won't be showing up on a regular basis.
Spoiler Asked whether there was a chance for a revival of SilverHawks, Rankin/Bass’ 1986 follow-up to ThunderCats, the panel revealed some of those characters could appear later in the series, along with members of the short-lived TigerSharks. All three properties are now owned by Warner Bros. Animation. ”It’s like Christmas,” Norton said. “You guys just tune in every Friday, open your gift and see what’s in it.” http://spinoff.comicbookresources.com/2011/07/26/cci-thundercats-premiere/
I saw the first episode, too... and was OK with the changes from the previous version. I'm not going to bash this new version. One thing I didn't remember... maybe I didn't pay close enough attention... was that there was no back story to the parents of Lion-O in the first. I have a question about Panthro (SPOILERED question is SPOILERED) : Spoiler WARNING: SPOILER! Spoiler Last warning. SPOILER! Spoiler Is Panthro really dead? I know that his brother presented his weapon... but... is he REALLY dead, or have we yet to see this?
Spoiler Would be really surprised if he was since he was a major and popular part of the original series, assume he'll pop up later down the road, probably one of those left for dead but not actually situations....maybe these guys found him and are nursing him back to health.....
I know I watched it late at night, but am I missing something here? Spoiler I thought they showed Panthro alive being held prisoner towards the middle to end of the season premiere? But then again, maybe I was just spaced out and wasn't paying attention.
Thanks for that. I watched Friday's episode, only. I may have been asleep when they said something to the contrary of what I saw initially about him.
thanks for the spoilers glad to hear the early reviews are pretty good I'll download the first few episodes now and check it out I didnt want to watch it and have it destroy the memories I had of Thundercats Silverhawks getting a reboot would be nice
