True. The poster above you likes to build up our own players and it's annoying.

with the bring back T-Mac treads... Here is a trade that should make all happy. Get the "super star" (6 years to late), clear cap room for the "2012 sweepstakes", and net a "servicable" center. Plus make sence to the outher team, too.

    OUT:
    Scola, Thabeet, T-Will & Flynn
    IN:
    Vince Carter & Robin Lopez

    Suns-
-Steve Nash needs a scoring power-forward
    -T-Will can take VC mins
-Brooks is/should be cut need a back-up point
-trade back-up center for back-up center

    Rockets-
    Vince Carter
-DMtheGM get Les his "super-star" to put on the tickets, billboards, and be the face of the team - lol
    -he playes small forward
-he stays hurt so he will not get in the way of the youth movement
-his contract is up at the end of the season ( best thing of all )
-cleans Scola off the books for the next three years
-put us as an even better player in the "2012 swepstakes"
    Robin Lopez
    -wrong brother
    -MAY start here a center
    -servicabe

    thoughts?

If we squeeze a pick a pick out of them I'd like that one. Pretty well thought out btw. rep'd for putting one up that made sense.

That trade is atrocious. We’re not shipping out Scola and young assets for an expiring and a trash prospect like Fropez.

-We all would like to trade Chase Budinger for Labron James BUT it will never happen - It takes something to get something IMO.
-A good trade for BOTH teams in terms of NEED IMO.
-An asset is NOT an asset if not USED other wise it just a spare part IMO. ( stop drinking the "Rocket Red" cool-aid )
-"Fropez" is an upgrade from what we have now - a young seven footer with a base skillset that is "Coachable" IMO.
-The last two Rocket lottery picks have been power forwards plus J. Hill that makes three "lottery picks" in three years. At least one should start by now or the GM let go IMO.
-Scola is on the books for the next three years and needs to come off IMO.
-We are sending expiring contract less Scola that will not hurt the Suns and taking care of our needs at the same time.
-Vince Carter is a just a RENTAL that may sell some tickets.
-He was/is a "super-star" - (it will be the frist time in 30 years we will not have one)
-The "2012 Swepstakes" is BOTH the DRAFT & F.A.
-Its a good trade if one sees it one way and the other sees the other way- that is a WIN-WIN most of the time.

I thank you for your thoughts and these is just mine.

The Rockets are 5 years away from being any real contender. Until then we need to suck it up and lose every season and draft the best players. no all star player will want to play here because they think Houston isn't a great market comparatively. Unless we draft some exceptional players and stop trying to be a mediocre playoff team and stop ending up the 8th seed or the 14th pick we wont be relevant for awhile.

ideally, we need to lose badly this year and make some trades to land us some good lottery picks. the 2012 class will have ALL STARS written all over it. top of my mind, JS Ohio State, Harrison Barnes, Perry Jones, the Kentucky lineup.

there are some ridiculous sick prospects the next two-three years and we can literally come back stronger and versatile if we simply tank.

that or somehow throw the fattest contracts around to some all stars. but that's not economically sound.

How much longer can Morey keep his job without acquiring a legit C? Morey is desperate and will have to overpay one way or another or he will bite the bullet on the first guy a team wants to get rid of, just look at Thabeet and his shot at Beidrins. It aint going to get much better. No team will want to trade or lose their C. Everyone is out of reach, unless one of them become disgruntled.

Its either Dalembert or the likes of Diop and R.Lopez.

So you are going with the ol' if Morey doesn't overpay Diop, R. Lopez, or Dalembert we should fire him?

    ....got it...

No, I did not say unless he overpays them FIRE him. Are my writing skills really that bad?

Im saying he is under the hot seat. Im saying Les will fire him unless he gets us a legit 5. Les parted ways with JVG and Aldeman for much much less. And because Morey feels the pressure, I am PREDICTING he will cave in to desperation and overpay someone crap.

Look at his record, he got Thabeet, who Memhis were DESPERATELY trying to get rid of. Then he tried to get Beidrins who Warriors were trying to lose because he has a hefty contract and has been regressing for the last 2 seasons. Warriors were trying to get rid oh him too. Im just saying Morey doesnt have any chioces but these type of players.

Why the hell would Bucks give us Bogut, do you think the organisation is run by imbreds? Why would Indiana give us Hibbert? We cant match what Memphis, Denver and Dallas can pay to Gasol, NeNe or Chandler.

So who did you have in mind? Dwight Howard?

Coaches and GMs are two very different animals.

Ever consider Les is not ignorant to the market itself? Les, like yourself as a fan, probably realizes there are only so many C's to go around and to fire your staff members because you can't make one appear out of thin air is unreasonable.

Moreover, as an owner, I'm sure he really appreicates DM not throwing around his money because Morey is trying to grab a few extra wins to keep his job secured.

Morey's need to find a big man didnt just start after YAO retired. The clock started ticking straight after Deke retired. We havent had a back up for YAO since and it has been hurting us ever since. That back up could have started last season and we wouldnt have been so desperate. I know Morey worked his bum off and not much was available, Im sure Morey even tryed magic spells to try and make one appaear out of thin air. But facts are still facts - we have not had a serviceable big man for a long time now, not just since yesterday.

    It sticks out.

So we are back to firing morey for not addressing a team need by overpaying for a FA center or sending too much back over in a trade? Got it.

    Tyreke Evans

We have good trade relations with the Kings and WAIT for it- he is from the 2009 draft class. It keeps getting better - Kings have a logjam, they have Salmons and want to keep Thornton plus they just got Jimmer who will also handle the ball a lot and look to score. Someone has to go. But theres still MORE - Cousins and Evans have clashed before and as we know big guys are a lot harder to come buy than 2 guards, so if they had to choose, Evans is gone.

If they were to shop Tyreke - what do we have to offer? They need a back up PG and a wing who can play off the ball would be an added bonus. So Flynn and Bud could be thrown in with future picks. But its not just about needs and fits, its about making an offer which other teams cant counter while not giving away too much at the same time. We might need to get other teams involved too.

I would love me some Tyreke on this team, he definitely has the tools and abilities to become an all-star one day. He was arguably tied with Harden as the 3rd best pick in that 2009 class after Griffin and Curry. I think he is already better then Jennings and DeRozan.

But as always our assets dont seem to h

I like were you are going with this. Flynn has little to no value at this time. If we want Sac. to say YES...maybe

    OUT~ Dragic, T-Will & Budinger
In ~ Tyreke Evens & Hassan Whiteside

    Rockets
-Evens will need mins. anyway so the loss of Dragic will not hurt as much but it still will - Flynn may help the pain
-Whiteside is a raw seven footer for less than a million a year we have a NEED.
    Kings
-Dragic is the best back-up point in the league IMO
-C.Bud plays well off the ball as stated
-T-Will may just be a glue type guy for a team with a lot of scoring power.... passing and playing some D. this may be his fit.

    thoughts?
