And there goes Clements to the Bengals - taking the place of Joseph.

Harris is not better than what the Texans already have. He does not play hard, is injury prone, is a cancer and no longer plays st a competitive level.

I wonder if the rest of the cap space will be for signing rookies or little pebble splashes now. I wish someone from the FO could've talked at the press conference yesterday.

I would like to have seen Okoye another year but I guess if the texans admit the mistake by cutting him he must not be showing them a whole lot.

    Another wasted pick

I just heard that, contrary to early reports, the salary floor doesn't come in effect til 2013. That means teams like Cincy won't have to throw money at vet FA's when they can pay a rookie 30% salary for 85% performance. That means that there will be a whole lot more FA's for a limited number of spots.

The bargan period is approaching, where guys see free agency less like a trip to the bank and more like a game of musical chairs. Hopefuly, the Texans can capitalize.

After 2007 draft, Texans coach told me Rod Marinelli (then Lions HC) had spoken highly of Amobi Okoye to members of Texans staff pre-draft

Not a total shock Bears would bring Okoye in now that Marinelli is on staff. Bears scout had Okoye pegged perfectly out of college #beware

It feels good to close the book on Amobi, the debate is over... bust. Not to mention ditching Anderson's bloated contract.

Yep, it's nice to see the garbage has been taken out and it's a clean house for these Texans.

How is he a bust just because he got cut? He's barely 25, put up average numbers last season(which we all expected to be better but the entire defence was shiit anyways). Now if 3-5 years from now he's out of the league with the same average numbers then yeah, it'd be fair to call him that.
I'd call Vernon Gholston a bust since he's shown ZILCH his entire time in the league. Amobi on the other hand has shown something and I don't think that's fair to label him a bust right now. No one's calling Jason Babin a bust at the moment are they?

Well let me correct myself, if it's in the sense of "draft bust for the Texans" then sure. If it's in the general sense that he's a bust as a player then I got a problem with that since like Babin, the story isn't over w/regards to the rest of his career.
