I don't even mind wrestlers that are active. Woodley literally tries to avoid fighting. He was hugging Daley's legs on his knees because he knows that knees to a grounded opponent are illegal. It's just blatant exploitation of the rules in order to eek out decisions.
I know Fedor was rocked, but that was an early stoppage. And I was rooting for Henderson. Fedor wasn't out.
Fedor may have been momentarily out, but he woke back up and could have defended himself on his back. What a damn shame that this fight didn't get a definitive ending. Even worse, Fedor's legion of fans will continue saying that Fedor would have beaten Bigfoot had it gone to the third and that he would have taken out Dan had the fight continued. This fight deserved more.
Fedor was clearly stunned, but Herb Dean didn't even give him an opportunity to intelligently defend himself and operate out of his guard.
A tad early. Leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Fedor fighting the way he was he bound to get knocked out though, just winging his punches and against the right hand of Hendo who has a monster chin. This is huge hit for his legacy..a TKO loss to former 185er who is 6 years older.
Herb Dean actually tried to stop the fight 3 punches earlier, which is ridiculous. Weird seeing that he's usually a great ref. Fedor rolled over to his guard as it was getting stopped, it wasn't like Henderson was teeing off with free power shots a la Cain-Nogueira.
He was out cold for a split second, but Fedor did seem to still be defending himself when it was stopped. I wish Herb would have let it go a little longer -- Fedor would have probably lost, but at least there wouldn't be any doubt (think about the Kongo fight). At least it was an exciting fight.
Exactly... Dean actually interfered with Fedor's transition to the guard. He was nearly standing on top of the action. Don't get me wrong, Fedor was dazed, but the stoppage was clearly premature.
