Such a fallacy that we somehow mortgaged our future for guys like Jennings and Tejada. We have simply drafted poorly and then didn't sign a lot of the draft picks. We traded Bucholz(a middle reliever now), Hirsh(out of baseball) and Taveras(Can't get out of Triple A this year at age 29) for Jennings. We traded Costanzo(never made it to the majors), Scott(the only actual good player mentioned here), Albers(middle reliever with close to a 5.00 career ERA in the majors), Patton(injured too often, never did anything in the majors) and Sarfate(out of baseball) for Tejada. If you wouldn't have made the trades, we would have a cheaper option for Carlos Lee in the outfield with Luke Scott and a couple of mediocre middle relievers. Had we signed who we should have out of that 2007 draft, we would have a SS with potential to be a top 100 prospect next year in Derek Dietrich as well as a pitcher in Chad Bettis who is probably going to be a top 100 prospect in Colorado's system.
Aside from biddle the only player i would really want would be bonilla. The position players look shoddy from the stats ( mainly looking at k/bb ) Bonilla actually looks likea good prospect so we prolly wont be getting him though. Any of the top 4 starters in the rotation looks decent but Bonilla looks the best from his stats. Which i realize dont mean a whole lot in A ball
Well, apparently the Stros will have their choice from non-top prospects...I think he is in their top 10, higher now...so doubt it. That said, could still be B-Level types with potential.

And I seem to remember reading somewhere that the way he curls his arm down behind him before going through his motion is bad for your shoulder. If he beefs up a bit I don't think he will be very mobile.
He was in my advisory class in highschool woo!!! I can say I totally took the taks test with an astro haha
Really any of those top 15 or so prospects looks great and would easily be in our top 10. IF i had my choice I'd want vizcaino over any other pitcher ( tehran excluded ) I remember reading his stuff is out of this world. Honestly thought the braves system is so stacked that its hard not to salivate at the possiblilty that we could have 2-3 of those players by sunday.
How are we going to get that when we couldn't pull those players with pence. I think he will be a reds player by monday.
