Jesse Biddle??? I doubt it, they would have made it clear but lets see what Wade says in a few minutes.

No one. I repeat no one trades players that are killing it, sure thing prospects unless they are getting back a MVP/Cy Young caliber player. Your expectations are way too high. Pence is not that level of player.

So, according to Stark, Wade could have bagged Singelton, Cosart, AND Domonic Brown. Why we shot down Brown, only to accept 2 "players to be named" is beyond me. Brown was the #1 prospect in baseball last year, according to Baseball America. As mentioned earlier, Wade could have flipped him elsewhere for a strong arm or two.

It's not being televised but Footer's intern, Rachel Fey I think, will be tweeting the presser later.

Once again..............Singleton has above average stats as one of the youngest players in the Florida State League. Cosart has a power arm and an era under 4 in high A. These are two legit prospects with major upside for a guy who has topped out as an above average major league player who is getting more and more expensive. Pence will never be a superstar in my opinion.

Buster Olney came back later on and said Brown wasn't part of the deal.

this guy went from 3 top prospects to only 2 bc he was tryin to spin d brown into a top pitcher.....then philly realize they were the only suitors and drop brown....D brown was rank #4 in baseball america top 100.....these guys are in the 40-50s......why is the clown running the show....astros should ask morey to recommend them a GM.....

Brown was instead of one of them (singleton) if included at all. No chance he turned down all 3. Ppl are just looking for a reason to call wade dumber than everyone in the world. Make it pass the logic test.. Or maybe learn the economics of baseball before complaining?

There were reports that the Astros had no interest in Brown whatsoever. They wanted younger guys.

You have no proof that all three were offered. And if I had the choice between Brown or Singleton... I take Singleton.

Brown would be a great addition for a team that is just getting ready to find it stride... but not for one that is still at least 2-3 years away such as this one.

Brown was rank #4 prospect while singleton in the #40s....and we traded for wallace who plays 1st base last yr and JA Happ with a ERA of 6.....yes wade traded our 2 best assets in pence and roy o and DID NOT GET ENOUGH....not to mention Defilze bad contract, give B Myer a bad contract, b lyons a bad contract, matsui bad contract, bill hall....there is your economics of baseball.....just trash....damn i miss hunsicker
