Don't forget that he will also be praticing with AJ80, the best WR in the game.

They also said that JJ has a better overall game than Aso. He is good in man and zone coverage. While Aso is great in man coverage but only average in zone.

The more I do my homework the more i feel like these two signings should have been first priority and Aso should have been the consolation prize

I don't want to sell Aso short, so it may just be that he hasn't seen much play calls other than "hey cover that guy" in Oakland? He did have a quote last seson where he said he wanted to be used in a bigger variety of plays.

I always wondered how can nfl star K jax line up against Andre in practice and not improve his technique/ Also, how did the coaches not notice how bad he was until it was too late.

Defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer thought he was going to get Joseph back in free agency.

"I'm upset, disappointed, frustrated," Zimmer said. "It's disappointing. You get good guys off the field, they work hard in the weight room and on the practice field and you kind of mold them what you want them to look like and they get out of here."

Zimmer said pursuit of the next guy is going to be all over the place and hinted it may impact what they do if they can't find a decent man-to-man guy.

"I was under the assumption in the conversations I've had since before the lockout that we were going to get him back. I was pretty much told we were going to get him back," Zimmer said. "It will be interesting to see what the next guy is. Whether he's here, or at training camp, or on the street somewhere, or if he's on another team, or Canada. Who knows? You have to find somebody out there and play and if we can't find a guy exactly what we're looking for, we'll have to alter some of the things we're looking to do."

I feel sorry for everybody on that team. So incompetent, it's not even funny.

...ok, it's a little bit funny,

Survivor of the fittest. I don't feel sorry for anyone. We've had 20 years of misery.

Edit: Mike Zimmer is a good guy. The story of his wife passing away and the team rallying around him was touching last season.

I feel really bad for Mike Zimmer. He's a really good defensive coach, and somebody that's highly respected around the league, so it must be incredibly painful for him to watch the demise of his team. Mike Brown is an absolute joke of an owner, and it's no wonder not a single meaningful free agent (their own OR from another team) has decided to sign with them (outside of Bruce Gradkowski, who's just desperate to start somewhere).

So do Kubiak and Smith deserve an appreciation thread. They knew they were getting played and went out and took Joseph and Manning. The Jets went all in and got burned. For once I feel like Rick Smith is running a professional organization.

Johnathan Joseph just referenced Jason Allen as being one of our players back there. I wonder if he knows something?
