Resistance is futile. Texas will land Awesomewaugh and the punter from A&M. Then they'll add mid-90s Reggie White and Junior Seaua (sp?) and late-80s LT. Welcome to the new NFL: Texans get to play Madden-style.
why do i have a weird feeling that things just seem to be going too well and that something bad is going to happen?
I don't see Mark Anderson coming back. We're already trying to convert two 4-3 ends into standing OLB. I'd expect anyone else signed for depth would be a journeyman 3-4 OLB. This is where I'd be happy to see Wade bring in one of "his guys" at small money (former Charger, Cowboy reserve).
we are really banking on Demeco and Cushing returning to their expected form.. i still worry about the LB core and the fact that we need a FB and a WR..i really think we should take a chance on Moss...if our team does well then i think he can really shine, however if we are not as good as we hope he will be a sunk cost.
Don't worry. If something bad happens then what will change exactly? "Houston Texans" might be a nickname for "something bad".
I wouldn't count on that. All of those rumors seem to trace back to a random statement from the @IncarceratedBob guy, who's been proven over and over again to be a farce.
Though the Texans are trying to shore up a defense that was almost bad enough to get everyone fired in 2010, they’ve got a fairly important guy on offense whom they would like to keep. Fullback Vonta Leach. They’re trying to re-sign the free agent, but other teams are involved. According to Mark Berman of FOX 26 in Houston, the Cowboys, Ravens, Broncos, and Giants are in the mix, too. Leach’s agent, Ralph Vitolo, would name no team beyond the Texans. “There are multiple teams expressing interest in Vonta,” Vitolo told Berman. “We are still hopeful Vonta can return to the Texans, if at all possible.” The seven-year veteran was a first-time Pro Bowler and a first-time All Pro in 2010, thanks to his efforts to pave the way for tailback Arian Foster, the NFL rushing champion last season.
Anyone know where I can find a link to what other news outlets are saying about our acquisitions? TIA

This D should be solid, and possible good if the offense and defense feed off each other for field position and getting ahead on the scoreboard. Peyton shouldn't be in top form week 1. Miami and NO simply aren't terrors. Steelers are the Steelers...but maybe Harrison helps us out creating disharmony with more of his oral diarrhea Oakland's managed to get worse Ravens are stout but aren't getting better Titans, Jags, and Browns are beatable Bucs will be a lot tougher Falcons are good Bengals may be a paper bag squad Panthers are having a hot offseason 10 wins are there if we come together and make things happen. Always easier said than done. NFC South is going to be an issue, but they'll be an issue for everyone in our division. Colts get the Pats instead of the Raiders.
Guy has broken 11 FA signings hours before mainstream media. Got only one wrong and was told it was handshake deal so that's why he twitted it. Don't diss him if you're not following him.
Oh, I'm following him. Here's his track record: He makes educated guesses and throws random **** at a wall. On some occasions, of course it'll stick and he'll be right. Just as many of us can predict where certain free agents will go. Doesn't change the fact that he has no legitimate sources, but pretends he does because he loves the attention.
Here's a couple more 2010 gems from @incarceratedbob. His exclusive sources told him the Jets were releasing Braylon Edwards in September, and that Cliff Lee had told the Rangers he was staying in December. http://digitalsportsdaily.com/sports-business/news/3717-an-interview-with-incarcerated-bob.html
Yeah, bob is useless. As far as NFL FA, I don't know who he's predicted this year aside from Cullen Jenkins, but players have been linked to certain teams for days now so it's no surprise that someone can break them before they are official. You just guess. He has no sources.
