I hate MLB because they put so much effort into taking down videos posted online by others, and don't have much video on their website prior to 2001, that it is difficult to find videos like that.
I'm in favor at this deadline. Pence isn't an elite player (just good) and his stats show he'll most likely get back down to earth. Sell high. But I'm also in favor of getting the best available regardless of positions (see 1B Singleton).
holy crap: SI_JonHeyman Jon Heyman source: pence was told during last night's game he was being pulled due to trade, but then he wasnt pulled. #tradedeadline
i haven't watched domonic much but i do read alot of good things on him but i'm not sure if i'm sold. is he going to be that superstar player? if we arent going to be good anytime soon then maybe just go for singleton.
I'm taking Brown. Closer to a sure thing, and ML ready. Singleton started his career very impressively, but hasn't impressed since. That could have been due to fatigue in the 2nd half last year, and this season being at a more advanced league. I'd settle for Singleton though.
hardly a sure thing, he's done nothing in the majors, and why would we be concerned about "ML ready" right now? i'd rather take my chances with singleton.
He's posting a .737 OPS in the Majors at the age of 23, which is miles closer to a sure thing than a .798 OPS for a 19yo 1B at advanced A ball.
“@Joelsherman1: Hear #Astros like #Braves prospects more than #Phillies for Pence, but Atl won't give key guy, which believe to be Minor”
poster on mlbtr posted that philly radio reported that a deal for brown and cosart is imminent. take it with a grain of salt though. who knows how reliable that source is.
Buster_ESPN Buster Olney There continues to be zero enthusiasm within Atl org. about giving up any of the core 4 pitching prospects-Teheran, Vizcaino, Minor, Delgado
