    ?

I'm well aware of that. Not sure what you misinterpreted.

Wandy has been one of the best LH SPs in baseball for a few years now.

Meaning that I doubt he gets moved before the deadline... unless some team decides to eat the rest of that contract AND gives the Astros a decent prospect.

Not according to Jon Heyman's scouts..."Wandy is a poor man's Ted Lilly"

    Wandy 3.47 ERA
    Lilly 5.08 ERA

Wandy is done as an Astro and probably got us two good prospects in the process...Good Luck Wandy.

Alright, Hunter. Let's turn this thing around.

Pence looks much better tonight, offensively, going the opposite way is a good sign for Hunter.

I see... I haven't been keeping up with the trade rumors but I thought there was a lot of interest in Wandy right now... as in, between the Astros and those parties, something would get worked out.

Just skimmed over his contract. Didn't know his 2014 option became a player option if he were to be traded.

That's the issue, Stros will need to eat some cash but with his last two performances that should at least get us one prime prospect and another marginal one.

    C. Lee finally has double digit homers. He has hit well over the past month and half or so, but sadly he just won't be able to be traded by Monday most likely.

So does C. Lee's 5/10 thing go into effect immediately after this season is over or does it start at the beginning of next season? Essentially, will that tiny window to trade him to that small list of teams still be open this off-season?

You've been all over the trade scene. What's your sense, does he get moved before this deadline?

My assumption is that the fact that there are a bunch of scouts watching Wandy tonight means GMs are using up-to-the-minute feedback to essentailly say, "how much is it worth to take on however much of Wandy's contract?" If it were simply about the contract and they had no doubt about where Wandy was at, why send scouts to watch him? If he got knocked out of the game early tonight, that likely has some effect, even if only marginal, on the thinking of suitors. Conversely, if he were to perform well (which has been the case), it just adds to their interest.

I say Yes, Wandy is a good pitcher and A LOT of teams need starting pitching. Curious to find out what Wade is asking for in return and what the counter offers might be. I say two good prospects come our way. I think Cincinnati makes TONS of sense but they've been awful this week and might have played themselves into sellers. Pittsburgh would be ideal but not sure what they are willing to give up. Detroit, NYY, Cleveland and Boston seem interested but I think Arizona gets him in the end.

My one complaint about Bourn, understanding he was going to SO a bit, was raising his OBP, well his OBP is close to .370.

Hmm.. ESPN still say 90% chance of Astros win. They apparently don't know our save percentages...

Actually, their computer is calculating that percentage based on our EXACT save percentages... more specifically Melancon's save percentage.

Its not just some dude arbitrarily putting that number out there.

Oh Okay. I always thought was due to either a game simulation from that point on for like 1000 iterations or what based on probabilities of how all teams perform in that particular situation.

WOW...Cards with a devastating split. They are pretty mediocre, Brewers should win the division with the Pirates and Cards chasing them.
