That's the worst part, is that all this offseason activity has been so good for the AFC, in particular the Jets and Patriots. So the playoff result is already a foregone conclusion.
Joseph's injuries is the only concern. Anyway the Texans could get Joseph and Nnamdi? As long as they get a quality safety (how about Manning, who is a Houston guy), I'll be good. At least we didn't come out with nothing.
he is younger and hopefully can help kareem along the way so good signing now the safety......who will it be.
He's still a top 10 CB in this league, on a team with no established cover corners, and he's 4 years younger than Nnamdi.
i am so glad we didn't loose out on both of these corners, big relief to know we got a corner. now hopefully we can sign manning. i dont really care what the numbers are, im not footing the bill.
We couldn't take getting left at the altar, so we went with what we had in hand. If we get a safety, this will be a great offseason. One hugely overlooked plus: Joseph is just now hitting his prime, he's 27.
One thing that is hilarious is how often McClain keeps pushing the "restructure tons of contracts" constantly trying to reinforce his original position.
the difference may be 2-3, but aso may have just be waiting on the jets to give him a deal, albeit a lower one than the texans were offering. It seems that was his destination all a long.
Agree, take in consideration the cap will have a huge increase in 2 years, money shouldn't be a factor.
I wasn't able to find numbers for 2010, but here are the cornerback salaries for 2009: http://content.usatoday.com/sportsdata/football/nfl/salaries/position/CB/2009-10 After looking at that, I'm hoping that it's closer to $9 mil/year or less. I just hope we didn't have to overpay too much.
