Guys in the Texans locker room believe Mario can be more of a force than he has been to-date. 14+ sacks a year type great.

 

mcgrady wasnt a free agent but he wanted to come to Houston to play with the big fella.

 

Money talks. All I'm saying is that players aren't opposed to playing in Houston. Of course, that wasn't the case when our roster was beyond pathetic. We have a nice core now.

There is a reason why we should be able to land JJ or Cromartie if Aso doesn't sign here. They're probably the second and third best corners on the market.

After hitting the refresh button probably a thousand times the past 3 days, for some reason this made me laugh. Ya think McClain? No Way

 

I threw that stuff out the window with the Beltran situation. It is a small factor, but players tend to be more attracted to the city and organization first. The agents don't care how much the players will save in taxes ... they still get the same cut either way.

You have to remember that pro players are not all like the rest that would put something like lower taxes at that at high priority. They see the benefit, but IMO a lot of them just brush it off and say "oh well, I'd rather live in NY and have fun being a young rich athlete. Houston is nice and all, but I'm going to be rich either way."

Nnamdi does seem like a more down to earth guy though, so who knows.

I'm going through the Jets board and it's pretty entertaining...they claim Schefter is a Jets fan. Also one guy said Nnamdi needs to choose between playing in NY and forming the best CB duo ever or go "tip cows" and "f his sisters" in "redneck" Houston

Just saw that the Texans are in the market for a free agent this summer, any truth to that??
