What? Bob's Ox speech didn't give you faith?

Ox in the Ditch or Sermon on the Mount?

    Which is greater?

Apparently the Nnamdi decision has yet to be made, which is why the Jets let Brad Smith walk. Nothing earth-shattering, but a bit discouraging in that the Jets still believe they're very much in it.

I'm not saying wins don't count...I'm saying the texans are making a push like they never have. In years past, if we didn't get a player, it was bc we either didn't put out the full effort or we were too conservative with the money we were willing to spend.

It's different this year. Regardless of outcome, if anyone walks away from this free agency blaming the texans, then they are truly clueless about the situation.

In years past, plenty of blame could have been tossed around as to why we didn't land certain players or go after other players. Not this year.

That's weird... so Amobi has been given permission to ask other teams if they want to trade for him?

This is like an all out war between the Jets and Texans now...hope it doesn't turn out like the last time these two teams faced off...

That's fine and well. But whatever the reasons, if this group ultimately proves unable to land a key FA to get out of the mess they got us into to begin with...I don't want to hear excuses.

Amobi Okoye on the trading block. #Houston reportedly asking for a six-pack and a bucket of wings in return.

the look on my now 11 year old (then 10 year old's) face when there was a minute left in the game...and he looked at me and said, "ok, how do we find a way to lose this one, Dad?" made me realize I will burn in Hell for all eternity for condeming my son to a life of rooting for Houston teams.

ESPN campaigning for ASO to go play for the Jets. This makes me sick.

I'm pinning all this aggressive activity on the heat Kubiak and Smith must be feeling to deliver results. This is not enough to give them the benefit of the doubt moving forward.

I disagree that a failure to sign Aso would be because of Smith's ineptness. In the end, didn't Aso state that he wanted to get into acting? If that is true then it makes far more sense for him to go to NY over Houston because the acting opportunities are far greater there. No matter how folks here try to spin it otherwise, the bottom line is that playing for the NYJ and getting national publicity trumps playing for the Texans and going into the NFL's witness protection program. The Texans' are all over the sports media today because of their pursuit of Aso. Just when was the last time that happened?

Because as of now the Jets are close to a SB and we aren't. I know we want this guy but you can't knock the front office for free agents choosing to go to contending teams. I mean, knock them for not doing things in the past to make us a contender now but not as far as the present. Your GM hasn't failed if a free agent dissed us for a better team. We aren't as good as the Jets.*

If Nnamdi signs with them I guarantee sportscenter will dedicate at least 15 mins to the Jets and the impact it will have. If Texans sign him we will be mentioned near the front then move on to what Carmello or Lebron is doing.
