might as well drown yourself in your own toilet after dropping a duece...post a beer night binger and late night taco bell.
This offseason has been clearly different. Weddle was coming to Houston until the very last ditch effort made by the Chargers. We're also clearly putting forth the effort for nnamdi. There is only so much a team can do...this year, fans couldn't have asked for more from them.
The place to listen in the morning (6-10) and the drive home (3-7). I wish AC would come in and replace Mighty Douchebag. Then the station ratings would go through the roof!
If they treated every offseason the way this one has gone down, then the bottom line would be different. If this is truly a change in the approach of things, then we'll start seeing bigger splashes. This offseason is too small of a sample size...can't fault the texans this time.
If we come up empty here, it's time to at least let go of Rick Smith. If we're offering more than other teams and players still don't want to come here, something is wrong. I think it takes a certain degree of persuasive power too, and maybe (probably) Rick is utterly lacking credibility in that area. The thing is, we have gone after the top guys in the market before and failed. Leigh Bodden was the top CB, albeit a weak market, and he chose elsewhere. I believe in the philosophy of building through the draft like they have been doing, but you have to be able to strike in free agency when the time is right.
Charlie is by far my favorite. The only person I can really tolerate on 610 is Vandermeer. Sometimes in the morning I'll switch between 610 and 790 if Matt and Adam are off on some tangent. Lopez is so f#$king awful though.
GM's and coaches get credit for wins on the field. Nothing less. I'm happy they seem to be "in it" with a lot of key free agents. I'm happy to see there is real sense of urgency. But I'm done with giving credit to this franchise for moral victories. It's enough, already.
Now that there's a foot on their throat. What the Hell were they doing the past few years? I love the texans, I just don't have a lot of faith in them.
Aw shucks. Here's the thing. We know that the ox is in the ditch now. We see it. What we're gonna do is get down in the ditch with that ox. And we're gonna get that ox out of the ditch.
Then link that, not Wade talking about a guy that just joined the squad and hadn't even practiced with the team yet. Sensabaugh, today, is not considered to be very good in coverage. He's a good SS.
Agreed, how can you not sell to these defensive players. They are joining a team with 0 glaring weaknesses on the offensive side of the ball. The entire offense is in its prime! All we need are some play makers on defense, we can still give up points but a extra possession each game would do wonders. Think about the Saints team that won it 2 years ago. That defense was nothing to write home about but they stepped up when they really had too. We signed the most proven defensive mind out there (sad but true) and we spent almost all our high draft picks on the front seven. We just need a play maker or 2 in the backfield! Sell sell sell Rick! If aso comes to the texans and our defensive is just average he will be a savior! Lets wrap this **** up and go home for the day, the money is there!
I can't link pay radio content, and the fact that.I can't doesn't make it.less true. If you'd like better NFL content, visit www.siriusxm.com I would.point out that my 'crappy old source' is one more source than you cited. Btw, last year Sensabaugh set a career, high for passes defended.
