    Texas Department of Agriculture is testing a new website to show audit data from all of the gas station fuel pump inspections in the state of Texas.

    Some stations will regulate their fuel pumps to actually give you less gas than what it claims your paying for, so the state performs regular inspections to make sure the pumps are legit.

    Evidently this is still a test site, and the location will move once it gets finalized, etc., but it's fully functional now.

    I found out about this from a friend of mine, and his comment was "never fill up your car in east Austin."

    Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool.

    My gas station failed 3 out of 24 tests back in 2008.

    No data since then...

    The Chevron/Buckees I go to in Greatwood (cheapest gas for miles) doesn't seem to be listed.

    wish we had these sites for states other than Texas. All the ones I used to go to look OK - brand name stuff such as Valero, Exxon, HEB. On the other hand I clicked on some names of the "ghetto" ones that I wouldn't have gone to anyway, and several fails.
