19 innings of baseball? That ump just wanted to go home... can't blame him.

Can't blame the refs. They were hungry.

I still think Lugo was safe. Fault lies totally on the catcher. If the game is on the line, don't worry about the double play. Stick your leg out, or block the plate completely and lay a friggin tag on the runner. That is why you wear your armor.

Something tells me Buster Posey played a role in the outcome of this game...

The umpire has come out and admitted he made the wrong call. I was listening the the Braves radio network on my way home from work yesterday, and the announcers kept laughing about it. Even the Braves announcers thought Lugo should have been called out.

ESPN had some former Major League umpire on saying that when he was still working, that if the throw beat a runner like that, they would call him out unless the could clearly tell that the runner wasn't tagged.

A couple of real close ones in yesterday's game as well, and they were called perfectly. No excuse for replay not to be available on game ending plays. I understand replay being difficult in baseball because the game already moves slowly, but the umpires don't spend forever making the decision like they do in the NFL.
