[Yet Another ATX Thread] I've moved to Austin as well

There's been a rash of Austin threads lately, so I figured I had better speak now or hold my peace.

I moved to Austin at the end of June and started working at a Seton hospital here. I went to high school in San Marcos and I've wanted to get back to the area ever since. I'm currently staying with friends in Buda (they have a huge house here), but I work just north of downtown. The commute sucks, but my friends are helping me out while I get some paychecks under my belt and also while I relearn the city and try to figure out where to live, and what and where I can afford to live.

Soooooo, I don't know too many people here (high school was many years ago), but of course I'm making new friends. Being an RN is great: I'm surrounded by women all the time, and that's always nice.

I'm currently working day shifts, but that'll change here in a few months to evenings or nights. I can't wait for that….I wasn't made for morning shifts.
