Another potential cb can be checked off list... Aaron Wilson Ravens lose CB Josh Wilson to the Redskins. DeMatha Catholic and U. Maryland graduate stays in the area.
Are we one of the *only* teams left (with cap space) that hasn't signed an outside FA, or am I dreaming?
I know right!?! I know good and well nothing will materialize until Thursday or later, and that it probably won't be much in our favor as Texans' fans, yet here I am, hitting F5 like a frikkin' drone.
Surprisingly I don't think the Cowboys have, or Steelers. But both made significant moves on starters we have kept our bench players.
It would be a huge disappointment after building ourselves up for Asomugha, but Carlos Rogers is a good player. I think he's better than Cromartie. He gets some grief for dropped interceptions, but he's good in man coverage and gets his hands on a lot of balls.
The only positive that will come out of this is the further embarrassment of John McClain who went on and on about cap space.
Bob Glauber According to a person connected to Nnamdi sweepstakes, it's his understanding that Texans, 49ers & Jets now bidding for him most heavily.
I agree he's a very under the radar guy that could be good if motivated and healthy, but if he's our big splash then I'm going to be somewhat disappointed based on what was out there for the taking.
According to ESPN's Mike Sando, the 49ers' impending release of Nate Clements would clear "more than enough" salary cap space for the team to sign free agent Nnamdi Asomugha. Clements' release has been disputed by a few national reporters, but we're buying it from trustworthy beat writer Matt Maiocco. Clements was scheduled to count $17 million against the cap. The Niners are known to be "strongly" in pursuit of Asomugha, and they likely now have the funds to execute. San Francisco appears to be neck-and-neck with the Jets at this point. ----- Josh Wilson came at the price of ~Jacoby and Leinart
between the Jets (who offer the best chance to win now) and the 49ers (a team close to making the playoffs and in a weak division...not to mention he stays in his home town), the texans are screwed.
They may be a playoff team with that horrible division, but they sure as hell wont do anything in the playoffs.
If the 49ers cut Nate Clements for Nnamdi would any of ya'll be interested in Clements? Just wondering what people's thoughts were on him. Also for *****s and giggles same question on Terrence Newman in Dallas.
JasonLaCanfora Jason La Canfora Hearing rumblings the Raiders could be suitors for Antonio Cromartie. Corner market is very interesting
I'm already moved on if he choose the Jets. Texans may offer more money, but the Jets offer everything else. I'll be livid if he picks the 49ers though.
