And Tom Brady will still probably tear them apart. Is it possible we get two corners? Cro and Joseph or Marshall? Or weddle and Cro or Joseph.

I wouldn't think that he wants to avoid Houston...there would be no reason to. He'd be joining a team that is an average defense away from the playoffs. If he's as good as advertised then he can surely make the texans defense average. Plus, he has friends on the team...and no state income tax.

It may not all be about the money...but money is still a very important factor. The texans aren't that far away from being a solid playoff team...Nnamdi should know that the texans would be a completely different team with him on the field.

They will lose most of their depth and will have no #2 WR with a mediocre QB throwing to Holmes.

Their offense will suck. Can they win like that...sure it's been done before but...they really have no impact skill players on offense.

Holmes is good but he's a 3rd tier WR IMO.

    Dre-Fitz-Megatron
    Wayne-Roddy-Llyod- G.Jackson- DeSean- Miles
    Holmes- Wes- etc etc

Eh, people always forget how amazing that Ravens title defense was. Rod Woodson at safety and Chris McCallister as a shutdown corner. Duane Starks still playing well, Sam Adams and Siragusa as shutdown interior lineman, monsters off the edge, Ray Lewis all over the field and Jamie Sharper still at his peak.

'85 Bears were pretty good, too. And some of those '70s Raider teams.

If Weddle makes a decision today then the texans are out of the running.

    From Michael Lombardi:

Got a sinking feeling that MadMax was right about this all along. There were never any confirmed reports that the Texans really made a significant offer. It was mostly conjecture from national analysts based on need. Comparable to how the "conventional wisdom" from national analysts in mid-December 2010 was that Kubiak was out.

No to Richard Marshall and I see Cromartie to Houston as having zero chance.

if not the best defense i've ever seen, it would have to be the 2nd best.

that offense was awful. remember they had a streak of like 3 games in a row where they didn't score a TD that season...and they still won the Super Bowl, decisively. a very boring Super Bowl, I might add.

That is crazy. Someone on Texanstalk posted he was going to the 49ers earlier this morning.

If the 9ers sign Aso I will be so

It will feel like the Texans just passed up on Aso to go shopping in the bargain bin again. We'll see...

Yeah. Their 1st option on offense was their defense. Their 2nd option on offense was their KR (Jermaine Lewis.)

Typical Texans front office all they care about is generating revenue, they know fans will spend the money even though Bob won't.

if it's the 49ers, it means we were outbid. he's not going to be able to convince anyone it was about "going to a winner." we'll see.

    LOL so true.

Loved that team. Ravens became my team since there was no Oilers and I hated the Titans. Loved watching Ray Lewis terrorize the Titans. Still love the Ravens.

My hatred for Rick Smith, Gary Kubiak, and Bob McNair is rising with each and every tweet. We have a serious opportunity here to make a major splash, and now you've got POS teams like the ****ing Jaguars and 49ers coming in and stealing your thunder??? You have a team like the Jets who are literally a billion dollars over the cap out-hustling you on getting players??? ****ing pansies.

I wasn't going to be mad if he went to the jets...but if he goes with the niners, then the blame falls on our front office.
