I guess. I'm quickly developing a hatred for that team...not sure why.... I almost threw up when I read that they had agreed with Weddle a few posts back.
Posluszny will be hurt by the time we play Jacksonville, and who knows if the Weddle (please stop calling him Weedle) signing is even true. I'm hearing its not. Anyways, I'd rather Jacksonville bolster their defense than offense.
4. Just as the Jets lock in free agent wide receiver Santonio Holmes, they emerge as the favorites to sign cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. No matter what you've read elsewhere, the Jets can fit Asomugha under their salary cap if they really want to. http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/38344/59/what-to-expect-on-wednesday
HOW? How can the Jets fit Aso under the cap "if they really want to"? Unless guys like Revis and Sanchez are both willing to restructure, and guys like Holmes and Edwards take pay cuts to stay in New York, I'm not understanding this. I'm tired of this constant feeling of apprehension and disappointment when it comes to our teams not being able to convince players to come here. Houston is a great city, damn it!
Come to think about it...how many players go running from Houston when they come here? Dunta did but it was a contract situation...Tmac was pretty much shooed away...Pretty much every guy that comes here wants to stay here it seems.
It is hilarious how all over the place people are with this. If you took that rotoworld article to heart you would think it was game over but in the same breath if you were watching NFL Total Access about 10 to 15 minutes ago you would have heard one of the analysts (Jamie Dukes) say Nnamdi was almost certain to go to Houston only then to add one quick addendum that Jerry Jones has a slight chance to sway Nnamdi to Dallas as well. It will be interesting to see if tomorrows coverage will get even more schizophrenic as the day goes on. LOL!
Oh, and it's NNAMDI and WEDDLE. If we're gonna have another full day of discussing them, the least we can do is spell their names properly.
Lol, yes the Jets could sign Aso if they wanted to. Any team in the NFL can do that. The problem is, if the Jets do that, they have to restructure a lot of contracts and choose not to sign WRs and players on offense... The only way Aso goes to the Jets is if he is willing to take a hefty pay cut, which will not happen.
It seems extremely stupid for the Jets to put that much $$ into corners, but they are in a win now mode so who knows.
I am not taking a rotoworld article seriously I have already seemed very unrealistic but there are a lot of articles saying it Aso going there is a possibility and Nnamdi's first choice. If he wants to go there, take a decent pay cut then Texans have no real options. I still see teams with salary cap like Ravens and Buccaneers as bigger threats.
