TO is good also. He definitely had better work ethic than Moss but I just don't think he was ever as scary as Moss. They have similar career numbers but TO played 2 years longer and got to play with Young for more than half of it. Moss got to play with one great quarterback and he put up Madden type numbers the first year.

But how did you come to that conclusion? I'd think most true football observers would agree that peak Moss was superior to any receiver ever, Rice included. Problem is, at some point you have to look at the entire body of work - the ups, downs, what they did away from the ball, etc., etc. Seems you're doing that in the Rice vs. Moss comparison, but not for Moss vs. AJ.

I think Larry Fitzgerald is still just as good as AJ, but you see how his TD production declined drastically last season with horrid QB play.

And did somebody say T.O. has a ring? He doesn't.

I did take it into account with Moss and AJ. Moss won despite the fact that he is a douche sometimes. He made the Vikings win, and he was the main reason why the Pats almost had a perfect season. He made Cunningham and Culpepper look like pro bowlers when they were really turds. He's a difference maker. AJ has not proved that yet. Maybe the Texans/Carr were/are so bad that no one could have helped them, but I have to give Moss the edge because he is a winner for the most part.

If by Educated you mean Texans Homer .. they yea. . . you are right
Remove his TDs . .and Rice is still the best.

Watching Rice. . .Watching AJ . . . I can say . . if i needed 1 catch to win a game. . . . gimmie Rice. If I need one drive in the two minute drill .. . Gimmie Rice. . . I need one down field block to spring a back . . .Gimmie Rice

It is like saying Lebron is better than Jordan . . because Jordan played with Pippen . . . [which I think some people have said before this year]

    the logic is flawed, then.

    Rice >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> everyone else.

    AJ > Moss and TO

you also saw it decline without another pro bowl type on the other side of him.

Larry is great but not as good as AJ, imo.

Larry's another one I'll take over Moss or TO, though.

Losing Boldin made life much more difficult for Fitz...it's much easier to look good when you have a pro bowler playing alongside you. I can only imagine what Dre would be doing if we had a player like Brandon Marshall in a texans uni.

Boldin also took catches away from Fitzgerald, and you know defenses focused on Fitzgerald over Boldin.

True, but they had zero running game, so even though Fitz lost catches to Boldin, and vice versa, they were both targeted as many times as any receiver in the league.

He still produced normal catches and yards sans Boldin/Warner, but his TD production (6) was very below average. He's always been a guy who gets more TDs than Dre.

except last year where, for once, a defense could completely focus on him.

    Says you.

My unbiased opinion is that they are virtually equal.

Fitzgerald is a better route runner, red zone threat, and more sure-handed.

Johnson is more physical and quicker.

So why didn't Johnson catch 12 TDs with the defense focused on stopping Foster

    This argument is pointless.

    Bunch of ****ing homers.

Moss also does not block AT ALL.

Moss has quit on a number of teams, including the Pats.

4 teams have given up on Moss.
